Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.740288 By Polish National Radio Symphony. By Maurice Joseph Ravel. Arranged by Craig Garner (Adagio, from the Piano Concerto). Contemporary. Score and parts. 15 pages. Dorm 40 Music #6349125. Published by Dorm 40 Music (A0.740288). The Adagio may be the reason this Concerto is so beloved. The long, flowing melody sits over a slow waltz that seems to dance to a different song. Ravel said of it, How I worked over it bar by bar! It nearly killed me! This abridged arrangement imagines the doleful melody as a dialogue between the trumpet and horn, as it is passed back and forth. Perfect for any concert, recital or Pops program. Scored for 2 trumpets (B-flat or C), horn, trombone and tuba. Performance time, 4:30. Published by Dorm 40 Music,  www.dorm40music.com
