May You Always is a popular song by Larry Markes (lyrics) and Dick Charles (pseudonym of Richard Charles Krieg), published in 1958. The biggest hit version in the United States was by the McGuire Sisters where it peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the United Kingdom, Joan Regan took her version to No. 9 in the UK Singles Chart. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. GOODNIGHT SWEETHEART
A popular doo-wop classic song that was a hit during the mid-1950s. It was written by Calvin Carter and James Pookie Hudson in 1951, and was first recorded by The Spaniels in 1953. It has also been released by some artists as Goodnight, Well It's Time to Go. The best-selling version of the song was recorded by the McGuire Sisters in 1954. 
In this arrangement I have tried to capture the fun aspect of a male Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone and Bass combination singing a cappella in a jazz-swing style. I have utilised some nice harmonies and counter melodies that complement the work. Tempo sits nicely at crotchet = 100 but this is up to the director to choose a suitable tempo if he or she so wishes.
Enjoy this popular song re-worked from way back in 1951.
