The intro begins at a slower tempo (quarter note equals 94) with legato arpeggiated eighth notes and chords in the viola. These imitate Freddie Mercury's piano accompaniment while the violin plays the lyrical vocal melody. A quick tempo change (notated according to Queen's recording of the piece, at quarter note equals 144) sets up the first full verse and chorus for a raucous good time with driving chords in the accompaniment and the upbeat vocal line traded off between instruments. In Queen's recording, Don't Stop Me is sung/chanted with drums emphasizing off beats in the bridge.
