Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.912512 Composed by Thomas R. Schadl. Christian,Concert,Contemporary,Spiritual,Standards. Score. 23 pages. Thomas R. Schadl #6519109. Published by Thomas R. Schadl (A0.912512). Based on Matthew 28:30 and Psalm 16, the piece is about hope in God’s presence in our hearts. From the beginning of the piece to the hymn section, one shall hear a minimalistic trait in the accompaniment. The opening part also contains a melody that paints a darker picture of life, but gradually builds up excitement toward the section where my arrangement of the famous hymn ALL MY HOPE ON GOD IS FOUNDED by Herbert Howells (1891-1982) is stated. After the playing of the hymn, the piece becomes gradually quieter until the end, symbolizing the assurance of peace and love. Organ registrations and tempo indications are only suggestions. The piece is suitable for recital purposes and may be performed in church-related events.

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1385649 Composed by John Ireland. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 20th Century,Christian,Classical,Religious. 82 pages. John Ivor Holland #969580. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1385649). John Ireland studied piano with Frederick Cliffe and composition with Charles Villers Stanford at the Royal College of Music in London, where he himself taught between 1923 and 1939, his pupils including Benjamin Britten. He worked as organist and choirmaster at St Luke's Chelsea between 1904 and 1926, while developing his career as a composer. Ireland retired in 1953, settling in the hamlet of Rock in Sussex, where he lived in a converted windmill for the rest of his life. It was there he met the young pianist Alan Rowlands who would be Ireland's choice to record his complete piano music. He died of heart failure aged 82 at Rock Mill in Washington, Sussex, and is buried at St. Mary the Virgin in Shipley, near his home. His epitaph reads Many waters cannot quench love and One of God's noblest works lies here. His organ music belongs largely to the early years of his composing career (1902-1911), however, the 'Meditation' on John Keble's Rogationtide Hymn was written in 1958, and was his very last composition. Arranged for concert band, including parts for string bass and contrabass woodwind, as well as attractive moments for Cor Anglais.

Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.998851 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards. Score. 9 pages. Robert A. Howard #6205889. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.998851). This extended organ piece uses a remarkably small amount of material; just two chords, triads of C and F sharp, with an added augmented fourth in each. Over these chords, a melody gradually unfolds and is developed and decorated (also appearing in canon at one point in the pedals!). This musical material originates from the same composer's early original setting of the carol Away in a Manger (also available via Sheet Music Plus), which uses the aforementioned harmonies to depict the rocking motion of Christ's crib. Therefore, this organ work is a 'meditation' on this, almost in the manner of a chorale prelude. The piece is highly accessible and is appropriate for higher standard organists, including advanced students and professional players.Duration: 5 minutes 40 seconds.Registered with PRS (Performing Rights Society, UK).Composer's website: www.roberthowardmusic.co.uk.
