SKU: A0.951691

Composed by Rev. Michael J. Shea. Arranged by Travis Hayman. Contemporary. Score. 8 pages. Travis Hayman #6637937. Published by Travis Hayman (A0.951691).

Victory March is the fight song for the University of Notre Dame. The Rev. Michael J. Shea, a 1905 Notre Dame graduate and organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, wrote the music, and his brother, John F. Shea, who earned degrees from Notre Dame in 1906 and 1908, wrote the original lyrics. At the behest of his former music teacher, Professor William C. Hammond of Mount Holyoke College, Rev. Shea would first perform the song publicly on the organ of the Second Congregational Church of Holyoke, Massachusetts, where Hammond was music director, soon after completing the composition with his brother in the winter of 1908. The song would first be performed on Notre Dame's campus on Easter Sunday, 1909, in the rotunda of the Golden Dome.

By Billy Joel. By Billy Joel. Arranged by Michael J. Glasgow (ASCAP). 20th Century,Jazz,Pop,Rock,Singer/Songwriter. 12 pages. New Domain Music #995389. Published by New Domain Music (A0.1413606).

Billy Joel's Grammy-Award-winning 1977 smooth-jazz hit has become an enduring standard of the soft-rock genre.  This arrangement is in the same key as the original recording, and is a faithful represention of Joel's original recording.

Accomplished composer/arranger/conductor Michael J. Glasgow created this arrangement for Velocity Handbell Ensemble, and is excited to share it with the larger handbell community via Hal Leonard's ArrangeMe program and Glasgow's publishing division, New Domain Music.  The handbell folio (NDM-0002B) includes a part for advanced bell-tree soloist, who covers the iconic  Phil Woods saxophone solos on a second set of handbells.

This product is NDM-0002I, which is the companion instrument pack for Glasgow's handbell arrangement (NDB-0002B).  It includes parts for drums and auxiliary percussion (finger cymbal, wood block, and egg shaker) to bring even more authenticity to this great arrangement!

Want to include those great sax solos but don't have an advanced-level bell-tree soloist (or a second set of bells)?  No problem!  This instrumental pack also includes substitute parts (in octaves) for treble instruments in C, B-flat, and E-flat.

Instrumentation Details:
Drums:
straightforward, moderate difficulty, simple kit.
Percussion: finger cymbal (played with triangle beater), wood block (medium-high), egg shaker.  Straightforward part for one player, but of course may be split over multiple players.
Substitute Solos: moderately advanced, depending on the instrument.  All parts appear in octaves to allow players to choose the most fitting range for the instrument(s) used.

By Loren Allred. By Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Arranged by Michael J. Glasgow (ASCAP). Broadway,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Film/TV,Musical/Show. Score and parts. 18 pages. New Domain Music #771135. Published by New Domain Music (A0.1170798).

The incredibly intensity of this slow-burn powerballad from The Greatest Showman is finally available for handbells!  Its difficulty level is due to rhythms; groups that already know the melody will find that this arrangement comes together pretty easily (and it's a blast to play!).  This transciption is in the same key as the original soundtrack recording, and faithful to Loren Allred's riveting performance.

Accomplished composer/arranger/conductor Michael J. Glasgow (and his publishing division, New Domain Music) joins the arrangeme.com family with this piece, but his
collaborative arrangement of The Greatest Show with friend and colleague Nick Hanson has already been eagerly received by the handbell community.

This product is NDM-0001I, which is the companion instrument pack for Glasgow's handbell arrangement (NDM-0001B).  It includes a full conductor's score, as well as parts for synth strings, bass, and drums/percussion...using any or all of them elevates the already exciting handbell part to next-level greatness.

Instrumentation Details:
Bass: straightforward, moderately advanced, for electric or upright bass.
Synth: moderately advanced, a blast to play, and quite faithful to the original orchestrations.
Drums/Percussion: ideally covered by two players (1: concert bass drum or kick drum and floor tom; 2: suspended cymbal, hi-hit and snare drum), but with some simple modifications (given in the score), it may be covered by one fairly advanced player.
