The arrangement begins with an arpeggiated vocal effect. Your most evocative soloist has the first first verse, accompanied by the Greek chorus of the other voices. This setting reflects my own interpretation of several traditional versions, and combines traditional and more contemporary harmonic choices. The second verse expands the arrangement a bit, then leads into the solo section (for any soloist, vocal or instrumental, with vocal backgrounds.) A vocalese shout chorus follows, and the chart ends much as the original does. A master rhythm part is included. Students and audiences alike will really enjoy this chart, and it comes together quickly in rehearsal.
