Keith was born in New Zealand in 1967 and later moved, with his parents, to live in Queensland, Australia. There he took guitar lessons and entered local talent competitions. In 1983 he was a contestant on the Australian TV talent show New Faces. A few years later, he began making inroads into the Australian country music scene.In 1990, Urban signed with record label EMI in Australia and released his first self-titled album. Then in 1992 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in the hope of furthering his career and seven years later released a self-titled American debut album. A single from this album, Your Everything, made him the first male Australian performer to reach the Top 10 on the US country charts. Several more successful albums followed.Whilst living in Nashville, Keith often used cocaine, but after reaching a low point in 1998, he became determined to stop using the drug. This arrangement of the familiar old hymn tune is in tablature form and is intended for the advancing beginner or intermediate level guitar player with a solid knowledge of basic guitar chords. It is best attempted with a finger style but could just as easily be performed with a flat pick. The tab is intentionally simplified to provide a basic roadmap for the player by including only the melody notes and chords.  The player is encouraged to embellish the main melody by picking additional strings within the structure of the chord in a rhythmic fashion to create his/her own unique arrangement. The arrangement is tabbed in four different guitar friendly keys-Key of A, key of D, key of G and key of C.  By playing the tablature from start to finish, each key progresses naturally from one page to the other, making for a fun and interesting arrangement that is perfect for preludes and offertories where an exact stopping point cannot always be determined. The Cantigas de Santa Maria, or “Canticles of Holy Mary�, is a collection of over 400 poems set to music. The text of the Cantigas is written in the medieval Galician-Portuguese language. The poems were collected during the reign of Alfonso X of Castile El Sabio (1221–1284) and are characterized by the fact that every one of them mentions the Virgin Mary (with over 300 being about miracles) and that every tenth poem in the collection is an actual hymn. Alfonso sent scribes throughout the region to collect these poems and thus it is not only one of the largest collections of monophonic songs from the Middle Ages it is also one of the first mass collections of living culture in history. Prelude 15 in B Major Mixolydian from 24 Preludes for the Piano in Major and Minor Modes by composer Brian Golden   The creative concept in writing these preludes is to provide a link to past preludes written for the keyboard, and in particular to the works of J.S. Bach and Frederic Chopin, whose works stand as essential repertoire for any student of the piano.  Using Bach’s and Chopin’s examples, my goal was to compose in all twenty-four keys, yet offer my own variation on the progression of key signatures – Bach’s being a pattern of major to parallel minor progressing chromatically through all keys, and Chopin’s a pattern of major to relative minor keys progressing clockwise through the circle of fifths.  In order to expand my harmonic and melodic possibilities, I have included the modal keys rather than only the major and harmonic minor keys, and have chosen to work counterclockwise through the circle of fifths, which is a more natural harmonic progression.  Therefore, all major preludes resolve from one to another V-I, as well as do all the minor preludes.    While there are seven modal scales, I decided to leave out the locrian modes for the following reasons.  First, due to the diminished fifth, the locrian mode cannot be thought of as either major nor minor.  Second, the locrian mode did not have a relative key to pair with, since there were no other keys with the identical characteristic notes.    In creating the key architecture, I determined that there was only one solution to pairing major and relative minor scales based on a shared parent key and characteristic note - ionian/aolian, mixolydian/phrygian and lydian/dorian.  This specific order of modal scales is the only order that would enable composing in all twelve key signatures.  Finally, the inspiration for each prelude came from playing through several other preludes in the same keys - mostly by Bach and Chopin - and letting their themes and styles influence me in the writing of my own.

The main character, Winston Smith, is determined to escape this totalitarian society and find freedom. Stylistically, the piece uses a stark, angular, post-tonal idiom in order to reflect the aforementioned subject matter. However, the work remains accessible for the listener and is appropriate for higher-level pianists, including advanced students and professional players.
