A slower section in three represents orbiting the earth before faster music takes us to Mars. The landing on Mars brings the piece to a close with majestic music. Only the jump with the right hand at the beginning of the second bar is very fast at that speed and it might require to skip a few notes. The third voice played by the right hand is shown with smaller notes that could not be played for an easier execution. The theme is famous for its 5/4 rhythm with 4 main beats (Slow-Slow-Fast-Fast) inspired by the Morse codes of the letters M and I (the two initials of Mission Impossible). These solos were also called smears or jazzes. Miss Trombonism is one of five entertaining works of Davis' Trombone Family written between 1915 and 1921 with the subtitle - A Slippery Tune. The granddaughter of Oh Slip It Man and daughter of Mr. Trombonology.  This arrangement has been wonderfully arranged by Aaron Hettinga for Trombone and Piano and is playable by moderately advanced performers.
