Flute,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1247382 Composed by Keri Degg. 21st Century,Celtic,Film/TV,Folk,Irish. Score and part. 3 pages. Masquerade Music #842017. Published by Masquerade Music (A0.1247382). Lankidden by Keri Degg is a piece from a collection of six ambient original soundscapes for flute and piano called Tales from the Cornish Coast by Chris Lawry and Keri Degg inspired by the beautiful coast of Cornwall (UK). It was published in 2023 aimed at grade 2-5 players.Lankidden is suitable for Flute (Standard C flute) and the difficulty level of the piece is around grade 3-4 (approximately).A full Youtube playlist is also available if you'd like to hear each separate piece in its entirety (with sheet music samples shown) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyAj-0RktQoYou may like to see the contents of the full collection; Tales from the Cornish Coast (mentioned above);Godrevy Island - A beautiful blend of bird calls, waves, and flowing lyrical melodic lines coupled with syncopation make this an exhilarating play.Hanover Cove - Tranquil lapping waves and the light glinting on the water introduce this gentle (yet later stormier) soundscape by means of the dorian mode.Piskies Cove - Strangely hypnotising and eerily enchanting, the pesky piskies play...Lankidden - A tranquil and secret place with not a soul to be seen. The mixolydian mode and sparkling sevenths add to the beauty.St Nectan's Waterfall - Delicate and brooding, feel the movement from the chordal harmony. A great piece for tone practise and control.St Clement's Isle - Constantly shifting changing and turning, dark and turbulent, then light and full of tranquility and life.Tales from the Cornish Coast is also available in printed/posted traditional book format (with audio code included to download your tracks) and is also available in Bb clarinet edition and Alto saxophone edition.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.882146 Composed by 'Good Christians all, This Christmas carol comes from County Wexford in Ireland, hence the title. The text begins, inviting us to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ., and this Christmas time...'. Arranged by Samuel Wellman. Christian,Christmas,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Samuel Wellman #6645683. Published by Samuel Wellman (A0.882146). The tune is unusual in having a flat seventh degree in several phrases, implying the mixolydian mode (actually, natural minor in the third phrase). This lends a special character to the music. In the second verse, and again in the last, I fashioned a florid LH accompaniment for the tune. In keeping with the flat seven, I use it again in the last measure (ending on a D-flat 9). Sorry, no resolution.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1292440 By Brian Golden. By Brian Golden. Arranged by Brian Golden. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Brian Golden #883014. Published by Brian Golden (A0.1292440). Prelude 24 in E Minor Dorian from 24 Preludes for the Piano in Major and Minor Modes by composer Brian Golden   The creative concept in writing these preludes is to provide a link to past preludes written for the keyboard, and in particular to the works of J.S. Bach and Frederic Chopin, whose works stand as essential repertoire for any student of the piano.  Using Bach’s and Chopin’s examples, my goal was to compose in all twenty-four keys, yet offer my own variation on the progression of key signatures – Bach’s being a pattern of major to parallel minor progressing chromatically through all keys, and Chopin’s a pattern of major to relative minor keys progressing clockwise through the circle of fifths.  In order to expand my harmonic and melodic possibilities, I have included the modal keys rather than only the major and harmonic minor keys, and have chosen to work counterclockwise through the circle of fifths, which is a more natural harmonic progression.  Therefore, all major preludes resolve from one to another V-I, as well as do all the minor preludes.    While there are seven modal scales, I decided to leave out the locrian modes for the following reasons.  First, due to the diminished fifth, the locrian mode cannot be thought of as either major nor minor.  Second, the locrian mode did not have a relative key to pair with, since there were no other keys with the identical characteristic notes.    In creating the key architecture, I determined that there was only one solution to pairing major and relative minor scales based on a shared parent key and characteristic note - ionian/aolian, mixolydian/phrygian and lydian/dorian.  This specific order of modal scales is the only order that would enable composing in all twelve key signatures.  Finally, the inspiration for each prelude came from playing through several other preludes in the same keys - mostly by Bach and Chopin - and letting their themes and styles influence me in the writing of my own.

Concert Band - Digital Download SKU: AX.00-PR-0002570 Score. Composed by John O'Reilly. Instructional. Score. 20 pages. Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music #00-PR-0002570. Published by Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music (AX.00-PR-0002570). UPC: 038081151717.Based on the beautiful Irish hymn Be Thou My Vision, this brilliant fantasia presents a variety of musical styles that will challenge and stimulate the developing band. A broad, modal fanfare opens the work followed by a full ensemble statement of the hymn. A rapid 12/8 percussion ostinatato in the style of traditional Irish folk music sets up the second section and continues under the haunting Mixolydian melody. A drone-style accompaniment and interesting counter-melodies add to the excitement before the hymn returns in a glorious maestoso. This unique combination of musical elements makes for another thrilling and inspiring new work from John O'Reilly!

Piano,Soprano Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.774080 Arranged by Anthony Giamanco. Concert,Contemporary,Easter,Sacred. Score and part. 11 pages. Whole Tone Press #6657905. Published by Whole Tone Press (A0.774080). Expertly arranged for soprano sax and piano, this work, based on the well-known hymn, ST. FLAVIAN, captures the somber mood of the forty-day journey through the Lenten season. Following the opening march-like fanfare, the familiar melody enters in the sax above the drone in the piano. Then the melody is transferred to the piano (bass clef), transposing it to F Dorian, then, briefly to G Mixolydian. At the key change, the melody returns to its original form, taken up again by the sax. The opening fanfare returns in an abbreviated form in the coda as the piece ends quietly on a Dmaj9 arpeggio. Particularly appropriate for Lenten services, this short work can be played during the prelude, the offering, or as a meditation during communion.Anthony Giamanco is a member of ASCAP. His many piano, organ, choir, and chamber works are in the catalogs of numerous publishers including GIA, Shawnee Press, Alfred, Augsburg Fortress, Lorenz, and others. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1097955 By Heather Pierson. By Heather Pierson. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 8 pages. Sacred Vessel Recordings (ASCAP) #700877. Published by Sacred Vessel Recordings (ASCAP) (A0.1097955). The Open Road is an 8 page intermediate level piece in G mixolydian. It is the title track from my album 'The Open Road', a collection of 14 of my solo piano compositions. From the moment that this piece first appeared in my consciousness, it felt like an invitation to adventure, to meet unexpected twists and turns, and to stay in even, steady motion while doing so. My friend Tim Shellmer’s photo on the cover of The Open Road beautifully embodies this invitation. Other pieces available in this collection are: Bittersweet, Doc Bradley’s Waltz, Edith, Flight of Fancy, Jasper County, Late October, Lullaby, Marble In My Pocket, Prairie Sunset, Skipping Rocks at Shoal Creek, The Storm’s Promise, Sunflowers, and Wheat.
