Gold 2 – Teaches transposition and scales.
Gold 2 is the third level in the Finger Olympiad warm up and recognition series. Students in the Gold 2 level are comfortable with two hand playing and with the instrument in general. Continuing in the style of Bronze and Silver, note reading is not required. Focus on finger coordination, musicianship, and solid practice habits will be further enforced, and transposition in the keys F#, C#, Ab, Eb, Bb, and F learned. Scales in the same six keys will also be learned.
The Finger Olympiad series is based on solid, modern, scientific learning strategies, avoiding some of the most common frustrations students encounter. Instead focus is on attitudes, achievements and recognition. Finger Olympiad trains and focuses on specific skills for developing complete musicianship. Because of the focus on musical fundamentals, this workbook can be used for either independent study, or in a teacher-student setting as a supplement to any other method.
Following Gold 1, Gold 2 also prepares the student for more creative activities. This 2 book progression is comfortably paced for most students. However, adults or other students wishing to transpose to all keys in one book should use Gold Complete. Digital download includes a warm-up book, flash cards, and recognition certificate. As the name indicates, a Gold medal may be ordered to recognize the completion of this level.
PRINTING TIPS: This product works best with color, 2 sided printing. Pages 21-23 may be printed on cardstock for better durability.
