Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.979436 Composed by John Christopher Yount. Arranged by JC Yount and H Fisher. Children,Contemporary,Holiday,Instructional. Score. 3 pages. John Christopher Yount #6070435. Published by John Christopher Yount (A0.979436). Meet Mister Rumble!  He is the mischievous antagonist rat in the Puddle Jumpin' Songbook Collection.  Mr. Rumble tricks the Puddle Jumpin' children, as well as his sidekicks Fidget, a nervous rabbit who eats carrots to calm herself, and Scratch, an incomprehensibly dumb mole who believes everything he is told, especially by Mr. Rumble.  In this song, with lyrics and melody by JC Yount and spritely accompaniment by Harrison Fisher and JC Yount, Mr. Rumble introduces himself as the one who gobbles up the garden of love.  His theme returns several times in Puddle Jumpin', the first songbook in the series of five in The Puddle Jumpin' Songbook Collection.  In the second songbook, an alphabet songbook, Mr. Rumble hides the alphabet in a junkyard and the children are tasked to find all the letters in this work, also illustrated, The Junkyard Alphabet.  Mr. Rumble has a tough time deceiving the children, an endless frustration for this comical, lively character.  The children always know when Mr. Rumble is coming, as the accompanying bassoon always gives him away!

Brass Ensemble,Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495808 Composed by Richard John (Gb1) Thompson. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Traditional. 7 pages. Peet du Toit #1072337. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1495808). BANKS AND BRAES (O' BONNY DOON). AKA and see “Bonnie Doon,” Lost is My Quiet, Caledonian Hunt's Delight (The), Ye Banks and Braes. Scottish, Air and Waltz (6/8 or 3/4 time). The antiquarian William Chappell claims the tune is English on the strength of its being included in a Collection of English Songs by Dale (who published about 1780-1794) under the title Lost is my quiet. However, the collector John Glen (1891) relates a delightful story of the tune's origins involving the famous Scots poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796), who wrote to publisher George Thomson in 1794:Do you known the history of the air? It is curious enough. A good many years ago, Mr. James Miller, writer in your good own (Edinburgh), a gentleman whom, possibly, you know, was in company with our good friend Clarke; and taling of Scottish music, Miller expressed an ardent ambition to be able to compose a Scots air. Mr. Clarke, partly by way of a joke, told him to keep to the black keys of the harpsichord, and preserve some kind of rhythm, and he would infallibly compose a Scots air. Certain it is, that, in a few days, Mr. Miller produced the rudiments of an air which Mr. Clarke, with some touches and corrections, fashioned into the tune in question. Ritson, you know, has the same story of the black keys; but this account which I have just given you, Mr. Clarke informed me of several years ago.Miller's tune was first published under the title Caledonian Hunt's Delight (The) in Gow's 2nd Collection (1788), but Glen concludes that it is more likely that Lost is my quiet is a poor adaptation and nothing else. He also notes there is a tune having a supposed resemblance in Playford's Appollo's Banquet (1690) entitled Scotch Tune (A) (No. 68), but in the end he believes that neither Chappell's arguments nor facts are strong enough to deprive Mr. Miller of his claim. The Caledonian Hunt's Delight appears also in George Thomson's A Select Collection of Original Scottish Airs for the Voice (Edinburgh, 1793-1797), arranged by Kozeluch. A rondo on the air was composed by Domenico Corri (1746-1825) under the title Favourite Irish Air (which, of course, it is not).

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802635 Composed by Julian Jordan. Arranged by Geo H Farnell & Peet du Toit. Contemporary. Score and parts. 6 pages. Peet du Toit #6072419. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802635). Julian Jordan (November 10, 1850 – October 13, 1929) was an American composer, vocal instructor and singer. He worked with Willis Woodward & Co., a publisher in New York City's Tin Pan Alley. In 1887, he wrote his most successful composition, The Song That Reached My Heart. The Song That Reached My HeartMr. Jordan tells the following story of how he came to write The Song that Reached My Heart. Mr. Sayres, manager of the minstrel company, chanced to hear at one of the New York theaters a song entitled The Song for Me, which introduced Home! Sweet Home! as a finish. The following day Mr. Sayres and I met. He spoke of the song he had heard and said that he would like to have me get it for use in this minstrel company. Naturally I objected to taking the composition of another man, being a song writer myself, and so I told Mr. Sayres that if he was desirous of having a song which would introducethe melody of Home, Sweet Home I believed that I could compose one which would be as effective as theone he wished me to obtain. The idea was favorable to him, and Mr. Sayres at once suggested as a title for the song that I was to compose, The Song That Reached My Heart. Take that for a title and go home and see what you can make of it are the words Mr. Sayres used. I went  home and the possessors of 100,000 copies of the song today know what I made of it. Willis Woodward, the song'spublisher, regarded the piece to be one of the most lasting and profitable hits in his long career.[Julian's twin brother, Jules Jordan, was also a composer and singer. Here's my contribution with a transcription of this beautiful composition for a brass quartet.

Brass Ensemble Horn - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.982407 Composed by Gustav Mahler. Arranged by Nick Fife. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 32 pages. Nicholas Fife #6660879. Published by Nicholas Fife (A0.982407).         While attending the University of South Carolina the horn choir performed Robert Pruzin’s arrangement of selections from Mahler’s third symphony. All of the horn students loved it, and we performed it at the Southeast Horn Workshop at Western Carolina University in 2009. When Mr. Pruzin died; the arrangement was lost, so I reproduced his arrangement. After studying the original score I was able to identify the portions of the piece that Mr. Pruzin used.        Mr. Pruzin taught at the UofSC for 35 years, mentoring and inspiring countless young music students. He was the principal horn of the SC Philharmonic and the Augusta Symphony. He was also an artist in residence at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts. Mr. Pruzin always had a deep admiration for Mozart, so he started a program called Bring Mozart Alive!. He would dress as a court musician from the time of Mozart and performed for thousands of elementary school students.        I have wonderful memories from my time at the UofSC, and that includes performing this arrangement. It is my hope that this arrangement continues to be enjoyed by horn students for many years to come. Thank you for everything, Mr. Pruzin.        Gustav Mahler finished writing his third symphony in 1896. It is his longest composition. Performance times usually range from 95 to 110 minutes. This arrangement contains portions of the first and final movements of the work.

Guitar Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1463461 Composed by John Dowland (1563-1626). Arranged by Clive Lane. Classical,Renaissance. Score and Parts. 31 pages. Clive Lane #1042183. Published by Clive Lane (A0.1463461). ‘Lachrimæ or Seven Tears figured in Seven passionate pavans, with divers other pavans, galliards and allemands, set forth for the lute, viols, or violons, in five parts’ is a collection of instrumental music composed by John Dowland and published in 1604. Apart from the sheer quality of the music, it is notable as the first publication of English music scored specifically for strings and for lute, and the first to have used the table layout for consort music. There are seven Lachrimae pavans, which are variations on the theme that Dowland had already made famous as a lute solo and a song (“Flow my tears”).The “divers other” compositions are: two almans (“almands”), nine lively galliards (“galiards”), two sombre pavans, and a “funerall.” There are 21 pieces in all and I have divided them into three books, retaining the original ordering of the pieces. This is Book Three - five galliards and two almans:15.  Mr Giles Hoby, his Galliard16.  Mr Nicholas Gryffith, his Galliard17.  Mr Thomas Collier, his Galliard18.  Captain Piper, his Galliard19.  Mr Bucton, his Galliard20.  Mistress Nichol’s Alman21.  Mr George Whitehead, his Alman(For the other pieces, see Books One and Two) For this arrangement for guitar quartet*, I have combined two of the parts (part three and part five) to make guitar 4 (with some minor adjustments). Time values have been halved, and in several cases (Nos. 9,12,15,16,17,20,21), I have transposed the key to a more guitar-friendly key. Clive Lane 2024*Also see my arrangement for guitar quintet.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1011291 Composed by Ho Jie Rong. Contemporary,Standards. Score. 26 pages. Ho Jie Rong #5794101. Published by Ho Jie Rong (A0.1011291). I am a Singaporean pianist and composer. I have studied the piano since 5 years old under Mr Joseph Toh and I graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a Diploma in Music in 2013, majoring in Music Composition under Malaysian composer Mr Chong Kee Yong and Singaporean composer Mrs Joyce Koh Bee Tuan. About Piano Sonata I started working on my Piano Sonata in 2013 and completed in 2020. 1st movement (Allegretto): This movement is based on the chromatic and whole tone scales. The agitato sections should be played in an even manner and if possible, Presto. Use the pedal sparingly. 2nd movement (Largo e espressivo): This movement is in a romantic setting. Make sure to bring out the melody in the slow sections (2 outer ones) and pianist should judge which voicing is the main melody in the middle section. Take your time to play the last 2 measures of this movement, and end off with a very silent trill. 3rd movement (Vivo): This Rondo is Toccata-like, and performer again should use the pedal sparingly. Piano Sonata is dedicated to my friends Mr James Oh Ju Young and Mr Matthias Oh.
