French Horn,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1317669 Composed by Alexander Scriabin. Arranged by Ralph Sauer. 19th Century,Romantic Period. Score and part. 16 pages. Gordon Cherry #906344. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.1317669). Alexander Scriabin’s music has been described as mystical, lyrical and idiosyncratic. He was known as the most innovative and controversial early modern Russian composer. His works were ignored for many years until recently and are now seen as “sincere expression(s) of geniusâ€.The Three Etudes for Horn and Piano are early works of Scriabin, originally written for Solo Piano. They show lyricism, passion, moodiness, chromatic harmonies and great expression.Mr. Sauer has brought three wonderful new works for advanced performers who wish to explore this area, largely unknown to the brass world. The three movements are about 9-10 in length and suitable for advanced performers.

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.752399 Composed by Hughie Charles and Ross Parker. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. Opera. Score and parts. 1 pages. RBMusic #5740045. Published by RBMusic (A0.752399). We'll Meet Again was written in 1939 by Ross Parker and Hughie Charles, and made famous by singer Dame Vera Lynn. The song is one of the most famous of the Second World War era. It later gave its name to the 1943 musical film We'll Meet Again, where Vera Lynn played the lead role. During the Cold War, Lynn's recording of the song was included in the package of music and programmes held in 20 underground radio stations of the BBC's Wartime Broadcasting Service (WTBS), designed to provide public information and morale-boosting broadcasts for 100 days after a nuclear attack. In 2005, Vera Lynn sang the song in London on the 60th Anniversary of VE Day in 2005, and, in 2020, a duet with Katherine Jenkins reached number 72 on the UK Singles Chart. Arranged during the 2019/2020 Coronavirus Pandemic to commemorate/celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, it is designed for two treble-clef instruments in the same key. This version is in B-flat major (written pitch) – part 1 has a written range from E4 to F5 and part 2 has a written range from B3 to C5. (For other parts/versions, see my other We’ll Meet Again titles.) Brass Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792574 Composed by Gioachino Rossini. Arranged by Elliot Chasanov. 20th Century,Opera,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 90 pages. Gordon Cherry #5008635. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792574). Italian Girl in Algiers Overture is an operatic comedy from the early 18th century. The music is very characteristic of Rossini with lots of excitement and pure, elegant melodies. The opera was written in a very short time when the composer was only 21 years of age. The overture begins slowly and quietly with sudden loud surprising outbursts of comedic effect. Mr. Chasanov’s arrangement for 13-part brass ensemble works perfectly for advanced performers, with each part having a fun and challenging time.

French Horn,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1451085 Composed by Alexander Borodin. Arranged by Ralph Sauer. 19th Century,Romantic Period. Score and part. 12 pages. Gordon Cherry #1030539. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.1451085). The opera, Prince Igor written by Alexander Borodin was first performed in 1890 after many years of delay. It is possibly his greatest and boldest work with many beautiful melodies coming forth, especially the Chorus and Dance of the Polovetsian Maidens from Act II. The music has a mysterious Eastern sound which is very captivating. There is nothing like this written for Horn and Piano and Mr. Sauer’s arrangement is wonderful. This work is about 7 minutes in length for advanced performers.

Piano,Trombone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792275 Composed by Edward Elgar. Arranged by Sauer, Ralph. 20th Century,Classical,Romantic Period,World. Score and part. 16 pages. Gordon Cherry #4803779. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792275). Elgar wrote two lovely contrasting works, opus 15, for Violin around the 1890’s, the Chanson de Nuit and Chanson de Matin. They were titled in French as his publisher suggested the British public would find them more appealing to purchase. The Chanson de Nuit and Chanson de Matin became his best selling works to that point and added much needed funds for the family finances. The Romance, opus 62 was originally written for the Bassoon as a lyrical work with orchestra, as Elgar tried to get away from the usually comical writing for the instrument. Mr. Sauer has combined the three delightful works into a three movement suite of about 12 minutes in length for advanced performers.
