Fandango are taken from the 12 danzas españolas, volume I from 1890, for Piano.Mr. Sauer has brilliantly taken the solo Piano part and divided it between solo Tuba and Piano. Tubists will enjoy working on this style of Spanish Nationalist music of which there is none in the solo repertoire. The Two Dances are about 6 1/2 minutes in length and can be performed by advanced musicians.

A Dominum factum est istud (This is the Lord's doing) has been wonderfully arranged for 8-part mixed Brass Ensemble by Kenneth Biggs.The work of almost 5 minutes in length is appropriate for moderately advanced performers and Mr. Biggs has supplied many substitute parts so the work may be performed by any number of Trumpets (in C or B-flat), Flugelhorn, Horns in F, Trombones (in bass clef and alto clef) and Tuba. There are 15 parts in all, and the ranges are quite moderate, so this is a perfect antiphonal work to introduce to less experienced performers. This arrangement works very well with mixing and matching of all the different instruments together.

Mr. Poirier has done an excellent job of scoring this music for an 8 part Trombone ensemble. The top two parts are scored in Alto clef & the bottom two parts are scored for Bass Trombones.The work for moderately advanced performers is in six movements titled: Basse-Danse Pavane Tordion Bransles Pieds-en-l'air Mattachins (Sword Dance)
