Skin Tight ist ein witziges Groove-Feuerwerk für drei Schlagzeuger, das diesen die Möglichkeit bietet, im 3/4- , 9/8-Takt und in ungewöhnlichen Taktarten wie 11/16 und 10/16 zu spielen. Dabei stellt das gleichmäßige und jederzeit ausgeglichene Durchwandern der metrischen Landschaft die größte Herausforderung für das Ensemble dar. Schon durch das sehr begrenzte Instrumentarium, nur drei Trommeln, wird der Akzent auf der Bedeutung der Zahl drei für dieses Stück deutlich – drei Musiker, drei Trommeln, 3er-Feel. Klangliche Variationen ergeben sich durch zwei Elemente, die unterschiedlichen Tonhöhen der Trommeln und die gelegentlich auftretenden Rim Clicks. Skin Tight ist Murray Gusseck gewidmet, einem der besten amerikanischen Schlagzeuglehrer und Komponisten. Seine Stücke besitzen immer einen wunderschönen Groove und haben schon viele Fans begeistert.
