This arrangement conveys the text written by Horatio Spafford in 1873. His life had seen much trouble including business losses and losing his 4 year old son to scarlet fever. At the time this hymn was written, he had just lost his four daughters in a tragic accident at sea. In the midst of his pain, he was able to find comfort in his faith in God's love.

John Goss' 1869 hymn tune Lauda Anima is a festive and joyful tune, mostly known by the text Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven.  It is often used for festival services when some good Alleluias need singing!  This fanfare prelude clearly states the hymn tune in between original fanfare motives.  It was written and recorded on a two manual instrument.  I hope it adds some joy to your service!
