Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1069966 Composed by Boothe Publishing. Arranged by Ashley Ivers. Pop. Accompaniment. Duration 183. Boothe Publishing #4633693. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.1069966). One of my auntie's got killed coming home from work late one evening by a drunk driver who was not obeying the traffic signals. I remember thinking to myself that this wasn't fair. It wasn't right. This was the first time that someone close to me was ushered out of this world. I started looking at my own life. Was I ready to leave this world behind? My auntie didn't get to decide. One moment she was here. The next she was gone, leaving her children behind. As I looked at myself I noticed there were a lot of flaws in my character. I liked some things about myself, however, there were a lot of other character traits where I felt that I was lacking in integrity and honesty. The question, What am I doing here? made me want to correct those flaws so that I could feel good about meeting God when I leave this world. I have found that change is possible.

Oboe,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1073612 Composed by Jean Ahn. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Multicultural,World. Score and part. 28 pages. Jean Ahn #677851. Published by Jean Ahn (A0.1073612). This piece is about the New Women's movement in Korea in the 1930s. These women not only protested the confucius tradition but actively participated in the liberation of Korea from Japan. While researching the history, I felt inadequate to write about these women. In the end, I allowed myself to write this piece as an entrance to their world, as an introduction to myself. The first movement, “High Heels with Short Hair†is a quotation from the headlines of the newspaper. The most startling thing must have been the short hair, the outward signs of change. I then chose three distinctive women and wrote each movement about their character. Maria Kim, a religious educator who fought for the independence of Korea. Seunghee Choi, the international star dancer whose life was marked by the political tumult of her time. Myungsun Kim, one of the first female poets who was not afraid to write about her own agonizing experience as a woman. I named the last movement, OPEN, to remind myself that there are many more important, forgotten women. The piece does not have a conclusion. It merely opened the history of the New Women….

Flute Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018923 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 4 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6072949. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018923). Fugue: Wear Pearls and Smile is, on the outset, a fast, rambunctious adventure for many voices playing at the same time. It was conceived as a pairing for the equally vivacious second symphony of Ludwig van Beethoven–his 250th birthday is this year–but can stand on its own as one of my hardest, most challenging works to cook up.This piece is dedicated to those forced to appear positive when internally they’re falling apart. The title is inspired by a quote that’s been with me for a while, Why is it that men can be bastards and women must wear pearls and smile? by Lynn Hecht Schafren, the celebrated American jurist famous for campaigning for gender equity in courts. I’m taking the quote out of its initial context, but the power of that quote, for me, exemplifies how hard it is to maintain a sense of emotional decorum and dignity when you’re authentically a hot mess. And what’s more of a musical hot mess than a fugue? There are two realities to this piece. I’ll quote Dmitri Shostakovich, from his autobiography: The rejoicing is forced, created under threat, […] It’s as if someone were beating you with a stick and saying, ‘Your business is rejoicing, your business is rejoicing,’ and you rise, shaky, and go marching off, muttering ‘Our business is rejoicing, our business is rejoicing.’ On the one hand, it is insincere happiness, cloying perhaps. But the other truth, I’ll quote Oscar Hammerstein II, from The King and I: While shivering in my shoes / I strike a careless pose / And whistle a happy tune / And no one ever knows, / I'm afraid. I forced myself, against all impulses of my current being, to forge happiness. This piece, with its origin being a mental puzzle (fugues are puzzles), it became a construct where I could lift myself up and regain a sense of purpose. Therefore, it is invented–out of a literal need to survive–pure, genuine happiness.Future Performances: If you are interested in performing this work, please e-mail me.ABOUT THE COMPOSER: Benjamin Sajo (b. 1988) is a Canadian composer of contemporary classical music, as well as an educator. Since developing a fiercely independent creative voice upon the completion of his studies at Western (2010) and McGill Universities (2013), he continues to find inspiration from the intersection of mythology, art, and nature upon the contemporary human experience. In 2019, he released his premiere album of original music, The Great War Sextet: Canadian War Poetry with Trombone & Strings , with support from the Ontario Arts Council. Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1068480 Composed by 1776, 1830, Music – Thomas Hastingsm, and Words – Augustus M. Toplady. Arranged by Pat Holmberg. Christian,Contemporary,Gospel. Full Performance. Duration 122. Patricia Tanttila Holmberg #1966901. Published by Patricia Tanttila Holmberg (A0.1068480). This is an old well-known Christian hymn played on the piano. It has an updated rhythmic feel to give it a bit of life. Here are the lyrics, if you want to sing along with it: Rock of Ages cleft for me; Let me hide myself in Thee. Let the water and the blood from thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure; Save from wrath and make me pure. Could my tears forever flow, Could my zeal no respite know, This for sin could not atone – Thou must save, and Thou along; In my hand no price I bring, Simply to Thy cross I cling. When I draw my final breath, When my eyes shall close in death. When I rise to worlds unknown And be hold Thee on Thy throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108150 By Jon Thingvall. By Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Jon Thingvall. 19th Century,Christmas,Classical,March. Score. 16 pages. Jon Thingvall #710774. Published by Jon Thingvall (A0.1108150). Looking for a version of this classic that has those thrilling string runs toward the end, and the woodwind countermelodies? This may be it! Don't be intimidated by the fact that this arrangement is played at holiday receptions in the White House, or that it received the approval of acclaimed pianist, John Bayless. I wrote it for myself, and I'm not more than an Intermediate-level pianist. I arranged it out of frustration at not being able to find a version that had those thrilling, ascending string runs toward the end. It may sound difficult, but that simply shows how Maestro Tchaikovsky was able to create an interwoven, arabesque-like frieze out of just a few notes. If you can play the Schirmer edition Suite, or even just some of it, you'll have no trouble with this one. Maestro Mikhail Pletnev's arrangement has the string runs in it, but the way he wrote them is so virtuosic that, brilliant as it is, there is no way I could play it. So, I had to write one out for myself. I'm pretty pleased with it, and think you will be too. The PDF is in two sections; one with written suggestions that may be helpful, and the other without them.

Score and individual part. 3 pages. Alba Calvo #1076927. Published by Alba Calvo (A0.1500900). LEGEND OF MERMAIND - Sara's slow version - (Piano accompaniment) for INTERMEDIATE PIANO Hello! My name is Alba and I consider myself the biggest Pichi Pichi Pitch fan since I was a little kid, like many others my age. I've always been obsessed with Sara's version of Legend of Mermaind. It's such a beautiful arrangement and the way it fits the scene makes me cry every time, so I really wanted to play it, but after years of searching for the sheet music without finding anything, I decided to arrange it myself. It took me a lot of time, I'm not going to lie, since the piece is more difficult than it seems, at least for me, since I'm still relatively new to the piano. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :-).

B-Flat Clarinet,Bass Clarinet,Instrumental Duet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1313715 Composed by Geraldine Green. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. 46 pages. Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic #902441. Published by Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic (A0.1313715). ALL PURCHASES COME WITH SCORE AND PARTSPlease note: This is the arrangement for clarinet and bass clarinet! The Sonatina For Bflat Clarinet And Bassoon was written between March and June 2018 and is dedicated to my good bassoonist friend Jane Thompson and her family. It was her husband, Astley Jones, who asked me to write the piece as a way of showing her how much we all loved her! I thought that was the sweetest thing and the rest is history! We hoped to give this piece its world premiere at some point in 2018 or 2019, with Jane herself playing the bassoon and myself on clarinet. However, the first major hurdle was Jane having an operation on each hand to cure her Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and the second big hurdle was Covid-19! Due to life’s normal pressures, the work still awaits its long awaited for premiere. It has three movements, fast, slow, fast, and a total duration of approximately 15 minutes.I have also transcribed the bassoon part for bass clarinet so the piece can be played by either combination. It could even be played by two bass clarinets, which would be hilarious!I feel, as a player myself, that its main challenge is in sheer breathing and playing stamina as it certainly gets you working up a sweat by the end, but its comical, quirky character will hopefully make it great fun for players and audience alike.

Small Ensemble Bouzouki,Guitar,Harpsichord,Mandolin,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017678 Composed by Anonymous. Arranged by Gordon Jackson. Baroque,Celtic,Classical,Folk,Irish,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 4 pages. Gordon Jackson #6436745. Published by Gordon Jackson (A0.1017678). Staines MorrisThe song, Staines Morris, is very well known by singers of traditional songs. It’s a 17th century song. It’s a 19th century song. Actually, it’s both! The lyrics were certainly published, and probably written, by Robert Cox for his play Actaeon and Diana, published in 1656. The tune was first published in John Playford’s The English Dancing Master in 1651. There is no evidence that, in the 17th century, the lyrics were sung to this melody. That didn’t happen for two hundred years, when William Chappell put the two together for his Popular Music of the Olden Time, vol. 1 (1859). I have added chords to the melody. Whilst humming the tune to myself, I found myself moving into 6/8 time, and that inspired me to compose a galliard based on it, complete with ‘divisions’ (runs of semiquavers or 32nd notes) and counterpoint. The song melody and the galliard can be played separately or as parts of one piece, perhaps with the galliard played between two of the verses. I put the galliard in A minor, to provide a contrast with the D minor song melody, but play them in whatever key takes your fancy. I have also added below the lyrics, as most often sung today.Come ye young men, come alongWith your music, dance and songBring your lasses in your handsFor ’tis that which love commands  Then to the Maypole haste away  For ’tis now our holidayIt is the choice time of the yearFor the violets now appearNow the rose receives its birthAnd the pretty primrose decks the earthAnd when you well reckoned haveWhat kisses you your sweetheart gaveTake them all again, and moreIt will never make them poorWhen you thus have spent your timeAnd the day be past its primeTo your beds repair at nightAnd dream there of your day’s delight

Published by Mudiwa Music (A0.1168363). EMAIL ME FOR PARTS: mudiwamusic@gmail.comI pride myself on my ability to hear melodies. For composition assignments, I excelled at writing pieces with an interesting melody and harmonic progression. Writing a small ensemble piece for a woodwind quintet was a struggle for me. It took me twice as long to finish this piece as any other piece before it, and I really beat myself up about it. However, this piece taught me that music takes time and that is okay. I have a bittersweet relationship with this piece, as I hated figuring out how to write it, but completely love what the finished product has become. I greatly appreciate the work of Amanda Welch, Madison Church, Kendra Sachs, Trenton Carr, Aaron Lukenbill, and Cheyenne Cruz, as the performers and director for this piece.

Stephen R Dalrymple #3070553. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818208). Song of the Recovering Perfectionist original song by Stephen R Dalrymple music © 1999 (© registered in 'Sacred Songs 1978-1999’ collection) recording ℗ 2020 Stephen R Dalrymple presentation © 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple sequenced by the composer ♫ At the age of 37, God used a good friend to reset my course in life and ministry. I learned a perfectionist is someone who is obsessed with doing things right so he or she can be accepted by others and that Jesus is not a perfectionist. I learned that perfectionism is one possible syndrome of rejection syndrome, and that the antidote to rejection syndrome is to learn to feel accepted in Jesus Christ. ♫ This journey has been extremely threatening but powerfully liberating. To be Christlike is to be accepting, not critical; to see potential in others, not continuously looking for flaws to pick; to be secure in my Heavenly Father, not trying to continuously please people and earn acceptance. ♫ I often sing this song to myself when I catch myself feeling rejected and/or acting in perfectionistic ways. ♫ Based on passages such as Romans 15:7 and Ephesians 1:3-6, this song celebrates the unconditional love of God and how learning to accept God's acceptance will help me pass acceptance and forgiveness on to others, allowing me to loosen the obsession to be 'perfect' and in control. ♫ This .pdf file includes 1) letter size lead sheet 2) vocal score with piano accompaniment, 3) lead sheet for 10 inch tablet, and vocal line with piano for 10 inch tablet.
