Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108150 By Jon Thingvall. By Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Jon Thingvall. 19th Century,Christmas,Classical,March. Score. 16 pages. Jon Thingvall #710774. Published by Jon Thingvall (A0.1108150). Looking for a version of this classic that has those thrilling string runs toward the end, and the woodwind countermelodies? This may be it! Don't be intimidated by the fact that this arrangement is played at holiday receptions in the White House, or that it received the approval of acclaimed pianist, John Bayless. I wrote it for myself, and I'm not more than an Intermediate-level pianist. I arranged it out of frustration at not being able to find a version that had those thrilling, ascending string runs toward the end. It may sound difficult, but that simply shows how Maestro Tchaikovsky was able to create an interwoven, arabesque-like frieze out of just a few notes. If you can play the Schirmer edition Suite, or even just some of it, you'll have no trouble with this one. Maestro Mikhail Pletnev's arrangement has the string runs in it, but the way he wrote them is so virtuosic that, brilliant as it is, there is no way I could play it. So, I had to write one out for myself. I'm pretty pleased with it, and think you will be too. The PDF is in two sections; one with written suggestions that may be helpful, and the other without them.

Cello Duet Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1012643 Composed by Timothy Arliss OBrien. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Timothy Arliss OBrien #5991021. Published by Timothy Arliss OBrien (A0.1012643). This aggressive cello duet was composed after many bouts of rage with myself. These bursts of anger haunted me for years and only after composing this piece was I freed of my anger. I still listen to this piece from time to time during bouts of rage to remind myself that the only way to win a fight is make concessions and come to an agreement with yourself. I hope these melodies will relieve your aggression and leave you humming this tune anytime you are frustrated. This beautifully fitful piece was performed and recorded by the cellist Raúl Andueza in June of 2020.

Oboe Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018926 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 4 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6072953. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018926). Fugue: Wear Pearls and Smile is, on the outset, a fast, rambunctious adventure for many voices playing at the same time. It was conceived as a pairing for the equally vivacious second symphony of Ludwig van Beethoven–his 250th birthday is this year–but can stand on its own as one of my hardest, most challenging works to cook up.This piece is dedicated to those forced to appear positive when internally they’re falling apart. The title is inspired by a quote that’s been with me for a while, Why is it that men can be bastards and women must wear pearls and smile? by Lynn Hecht Schafren, the celebrated American jurist famous for campaigning for gender equity in courts. I’m taking the quote out of its initial context, but the power of that quote, for me, exemplifies how hard it is to maintain a sense of emotional decorum and dignity when you’re authentically a hot mess. And what’s more of a musical hot mess than a fugue? There are two realities to this piece. I’ll quote Dmitri Shostakovich, from his autobiography: The rejoicing is forced, created under threat, […] It’s as if someone were beating you with a stick and saying, ‘Your business is rejoicing, your business is rejoicing,’ and you rise, shaky, and go marching off, muttering ‘Our business is rejoicing, our business is rejoicing.’ On the one hand, it is insincere happiness, cloying perhaps. But the other truth, I’ll quote Oscar Hammerstein II, from The King and I: While shivering in my shoes / I strike a careless pose / And whistle a happy tune / And no one ever knows, / I'm afraid. I forced myself, against all impulses of my current being, to forge happiness. This piece, with its origin being a mental puzzle (fugues are puzzles), it became a construct where I could lift myself up and regain a sense of purpose. Therefore, it is invented–out of a literal need to survive–pure, genuine happiness.Future Performances: If you are interested in performing this work, please e-mail me.ABOUT THE COMPOSER: Benjamin Sajo (b. 1988) is a Canadian composer of contemporary classical music, as well as an educator. B-Flat Bass Clarinet,B-Flat Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1326658 By Budapest Scoring Clarinet Ensemble. By David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,21st Century,Christmas,Contemporary. Full Performance. Duration 208. David Warin Solomons #914800. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1326658). This is one of several arrangements based on my lullaby song The quiet way you move me.Lyrics of the original song:Sometimes when you fall asleep, it seems you take me with you deep into a peaceful land far from all the heartache; that you'll understand one day, you will understand one day the quiet way quiet way you move me quiet way quiet way you move me. Sometimes when you fall asleep it seems you take me with you, deep into a peaceful land far from all the heart ache. I find myself complete; I find myself repeating a prayer and smiling at the sky: the quiet way you move me even when you cry. Now within your drowsy eyes I can see why the world has lost all its wonders. A new dream is rising, impatient to begin. A new dream is rising impatient to begin. And when the dream is through, your hungry feelings will find me. My comfort is you. My comfort is you. The quiet way quiet way you move me quiet way quiet way you move mePerformed by The Budapest Scoring Clarinet Ensemble.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1003947 Composed by Faith Angelina. Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 3 pages. Faith Angelina Music #3141419. Published by Faith Angelina Music (A0.1003947). From twelve year old composer Faith Angelina off her debut album Reaching 12 (available at FaithAngelina.com).  This song was a turning point for me as I looked for help from my destructive feelings and found the love and support that was always within my reach.  - Faith Angelina It was August 8th, 2016, when Faith’s mother found the suicide note left on her minivan.  It was a heart stopping moment.  The type that slows down time and changes all priorities and perspectives.  On the front side of the paper it said, PLEASE READ in big letters.  On the back was the following… Dear Mom, I am writing this to inform you about something I didn’t have the strength to tell you in person.  I have depression.  I know you think that we all go through a stage where we are sad it’s true, but this is not the case.  I thought that I just had a sad time too until I realized I had been thinking about killing myself many times.  I know that this is hard to hear but I felt it was important to tell you something I had been holding back for 5 years.  I hope you can think of me the same after this note, and know that me thinking about killing myself is NOT your fault. Love,  Faith   After an immediate trip to the doctor, it was discovered that Faith didn’t have clinical depression but that she suffered from a hormonal imbalance in her body.  She had been waking up in the middle of the night over half of her young life and wandering around while the rest of the family slept.  With a small prescription, and lots of love, Faith headed off to start middle school and a magical year that would follow. Shortly after this experience, Faith composed a new song called Finding Hope and finished up on three others she had been working on.

Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic #902441. Published by Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic (A0.1313715). ALL PURCHASES COME WITH SCORE AND PARTSPlease note: This is the arrangement for clarinet and bass clarinet! The Sonatina For Bflat Clarinet And Bassoon was written between March and June 2018 and is dedicated to my good bassoonist friend Jane Thompson and her family. It was her husband, Astley Jones, who asked me to write the piece as a way of showing her how much we all loved her! I thought that was the sweetest thing and the rest is history! We hoped to give this piece its world premiere at some point in 2018 or 2019, with Jane herself playing the bassoon and myself on clarinet. However, the first major hurdle was Jane having an operation on each hand to cure her Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and the second big hurdle was Covid-19! Due to life’s normal pressures, the work still awaits its long awaited for premiere. It has three movements, fast, slow, fast, and a total duration of approximately 15 minutes.I have also transcribed the bassoon part for bass clarinet so the piece can be played by either combination. It could even be played by two bass clarinets, which would be hilarious!I feel, as a player myself, that its main challenge is in sheer breathing and playing stamina as it certainly gets you working up a sweat by the end, but its comical, quirky character will hopefully make it great fun for players and audience alike.

Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBW196). 9 x 12 in inches. As an ardent fan of film, I have found myself increasingly attracted to full-fledged scores for cinema. No matter if it's an arrangement of a specific piece, or an original composition, I find myself wanting to view a movie merely for the score. When I was growing up, Westerns were a ubiquitous genre in Hollywood. In addition, New York City had a number of television stations that offered them as well. What all of these films and television programs had in common was, that they always had a strong, catchy and folksy theme. Prime examples were the themes to Bonanza, Wyatt Earp, Wanted Dead or Alive, etc.I wrote The Opening of The West with the goal of having some catchy, folksy and iconic themes that people would remember. I would like to think that this could eventually become an iconic western score.
