Published by BJE Music (A0.750847). This is a beautiful traditional Australian Folksong which tells the story of banishment of the singer from their native Erin. The tune probably has Irish origins. This quartet version has been arranged for strings in the key of D-major. There is also an optional Violin 3 part - a sub for the Viola Part. I've arranged it for Clarinet Quartet, Flute Quartet and used this tune in my Australian Folksong Medley No. 3 for Concert Band. This traditional tune was also featured in the film The Man From Snowy River.
