Chamber Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.500957 By Marc-Antoine Charpentier. By Marc-Antoine Charpentier. Arranged by Flavio Regis Cunha. Baroque,Classical,Contest,Festival,Film/TV,Wedding. Score and parts. 32 pages. FRC Music #114031. Published by FRC Music (A0.500957). The “Te Deum†(H 146) is unquestionably the best known composition of Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643–1704), especially since its “ Prélude en rondeau †was made the Eurovision signature tune. Although Charpentier set the “Te Deum†altogether four times, this is his only setting employing a “military bandâ€, i.e. trumpets and kettledrums. Charpentier considered the key D-major as bright and very warlike; indeed D-major was regarded as the key of glory in Baroque music. This brilliant and magnificent piece was frequently played at victory celebrations and other occasions of public jubilation during the 17th century. Even today it is still ideal for festive church services and concerts.

Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808686 Composed by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini (1741–1816). Arranged by F. Leslie Smith. Classical,Holiday,Love,Wedding. Score and parts. 23 pages. Sweetwater Brass Press #3689775. Published by Sweetwater Brass Press (A0.808686).     This is one of the most beautifully arranged short pieces in the Sweetwater Brass Press catalog.   Jean-Paul-Égide Martini wrote Plaisir d'amour in 1784. He took the words from a poem that appears in Célestine, a short novel by Jean-Pierre Claris de Florian. The poem begins, Plaisir d'amour ne dure qu'un moment (The pleasure of love lasts only a moment). Over the years, Martini’s melody has proved popular with other composers, including Hector Berlioz and Louis van Waefelghem. Two relatively recent songs that made use of the plaintiff refrain are the Christian hymn, My God Loves Me and the song Can't Help Falling in Love, which was performed by Elvis Presley in the film, Blue Hawaii.    This arrangement is not technically difficult, but it does require discipline and interpretation. As in the original, there are two key changes, F to A-flat and then back to F.  The time signature has been changed from Martini’s 6/8 to ¾ but retains all relative note values. Trumpet 1 plays the melody with occasional harmony from Trumpet 2. Horn in F provides arpeggio accompaniment throughout most of the song, with some help from Tuba and Trombone. With respect to high and low notes: Trumpet 1 has one A5 grace note (to a G5 quarter note); Trumpet 2 has three above-staff quarter notes in a row, A5, B5 and A5; Trombone has one F4; and Tuba has a number of F1 notes and one section of octave jumps involving F2 to F3 and A2 to A3.   This arrangement was completed in 2018, and performance time runs about 3 minutes, 51 seconds. The arranger, Les Smith, would be very interested in your comments; contact him at lessmith@ufl.edu or leave a review on the SheetMusicPlus website. Easy Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.992805 Composed by Neil Boxall. Concert,Contemporary,Holiday. Score. 3 pages. Neil Boxall #3541063. Published by Neil Boxall (A0.992805). An original and completely NEW piece for the piano, never before published. 2mins approx in length. Great for showmanship. This is a semi-classical and dynamically mildly challenging piece that can be played to entertain, as an interlude or prelude or for an impromptu performance. It’s also useful as a piece to test the range and performance of an unfamiliar piano. Could be used for music study, sight-reading or for a grade piece (if selected). It starts in the scale of D harmonic minor harmonic then surprises with a switch to D major and teases with a potential modulation to A major that never quite happens as the G sharp is stubbornly avoided. The piece uses virtually the whole span of the keyboard and so shows off some flying hands (and a couple of cross hands for good measure). The pedal is used for good effect though this should become intuitive. The piece has some time signature changes that are involved in the effect of the piece and there is some subtle syncopation linked into that. The tempo starts on Andante but gradually increases in pace finishing on Allegro in the coda that contains a couple of sets of flourishing semi-quavers that can be made to mimic demi semis depending on the actual tempo adopted.Being a very expressive piece, there is scope to vary the dynamics and tempo to explore expressive possibilities. The piece was first performed in public to pilgrims whilst on a Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage in 2013 before it was put into manuscript.

Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.868955 Composed by Antonio VIVALDI (1678 – 1741). Arranged by Sergei PICHUGIN. Baroque,Concert,Instructional,Opera,Standards. 6 pages. Really Good Music, LLC. #5309909. Published by Really Good Music, LLC. (A0.868955). Al tribunal d'amore is a mezzo-soprano aria from the opera Il Farnace, composed by Antonio VIVALDI (1678 – 1741). The realization of the aria for voice and piano, made by Sergei Pichugin, is based on the score manuscript of the late version of Il Farnace from 1738. The music of the aria was largely borrowed by composer from the aria of the same title from his earlier opera L’Atenaide (1729); its score manuscript is written in in E flat major and contains significant textural and rhythmic differences (e. g., common time signature) from the late version of Il Farnace. The aria may be an invaluable addition to the repertoire of vocal teachers and students. It is available in the original key of D major (D4 – D5) for low voice.
