Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.835222 Composed by Claudio Porstmann. 20th Century,Classical,Concert,Standards. Score. 7 pages. Claudio Porstmann #2036159. Published by Claudio Porstmann (A0.835222). Another in the group of 4 sonatinas written in the classical style, characteristically similar to Muzio Clementi or early Mozart. Besides being a fun piece to play and delightful to listen to, with its light, playful melodic lines, this contemporary composition written in classical style is also wonderful material for intermediate students who are searching for additional - but not too difficult - repertoire to practice. This last in the group of four sonatinas Op. 9, that echo the vivacious tone and cheerful character of Mozart, Haydn and their contemporaries, it provides some minor challenges, but none that the intermediate student cannot master. A great classical piece to perform at recitals, this is modern-day composition remains true to the classical tradition in style and tone.

Cello and piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6322 Composed by Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach. This edition: Sheet music. Cello Library. Ein dankbares, nicht allzu schweres Stück für Unterricht und Konzert, das als wichtiges Bindeglied zu den Beethoven-Sonaten zu sehen ist. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q6322. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6322). Key: A major. The autograph of this sonata, composed in 1789, was initially extant in Bückeburg under the title of 'Sonata per il Cembalo o Piano-Forte et Violoncello obligato' but was lost in the Second World War. The version then published was merely a substantially revised version which had been transposed to D major. Our new edition reconstructs the work's original state (in A major), taking the common performance practice principles of articulation and dynamics into account. A rewarding, yet fairly easy piece suitable for lessons and concerts which can be regarded as an important link to Beethoven's sonatas.

Score. 130 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #700548. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1096564). Antonio Vivaldi’s Cello Sonatas occupy a special place in every cellist’ heart and they deserve the best possible treatment in every respect. Throughout the centuries many editions have been published of these works, so adding a new one to the mix may seem superfluous, unless it offers something unique. This Critical Performance Edition closely follows the three manuscripts that history allowed to survive until today, and yet gives the player the possibility to choose between the different sources in a way not possible before. It comes in several versions: a) an unmarked score and parts bundle (130 pp.) b) a stylistically accurate keyboard realisation of the continuo line, alongside an annotated cello part by Yuriy Leonovich (117 pp.) c) combination of a) and b) d) a score containing the alternative sources (22 pp.) available offered alongside version c) or separately if you just want to compare it with other editions you already have. They all come in press quality PDF with interactive table of contents to allow you a seamless navigation through its pages. It is a truly unique edition and I am sure you will love it. Piano - Digital Download SKU: BQ.979-0-50179-202-3 Composed by Jan Ladislav Dussek. Edited by Slavy Dimoff. This edition: softcover. Bisel Classics. Score. With Text Language: English / German. Opus 47, Nr. 1. 36 pages. Published by Bisel Classics - Digital (BQ.979-0-50179-202-3). ISBN 9790501792023.With the two Sonatas Op. 47 Dussek today presents himself as a composer who already in 1801 produced music that was outrageously romantic, without missing the classical feeling for form. In the Sonata in D major, Mozart experts find another work that after the Variations KV 573 picks up the thematic material of the Menuetto by Jean-Pierre Duport, molding it into surprising shifts of harmony. All in all the advanced pianist is guaranteed to find two compositions that demand a crisp and brilliant touch, but nevertheless reward with a sophisticated performance experience.

The first and the last part have a ostinato accompaniment, the middle part uses jazz chords to spice the piece up! It can be truncated at will, mkaing it flexible to use for all kind of occasions.

Instrumental Solo,Oboe d'Amore,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549521 Composed by Edvard Grieg. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Instructional,Romantic Period,Sacred,Standards. Score and individual part. 17 pages. Jmsgu3 #3504479. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549521). Duration: ca. 4:00, Score: 9 pages, solo part: 3 pages, piano part: 4 pages. Super-famous instantly recognizable tune, not very difficult - suitable for a recital or church meditation. Very effective on the Oboe d'Amore! Grieg Background In the first place, Edvard Grieg (1843 –1907) was a Norwegian composer as well as a concert pianist. As a matter of fact, most music historians consider him one of the foremost Romantic-era composers. Consequently, his music is part of the international standard classical repertoire. Grieg moreover used Norwegian folk music in his own compositions.  Consequently, he ushered Norwegian music to transnational consciousness. Furthermore, he forged a national musical identity for Norway. It is important to realize that he did this in a manner similar to Jean Sibelius in Finland, and Bedřich Smetana in Bohemia. Legacy Grieg is especially celebrated in the city of Bergen. For example, the city has erected numerous statues depicting Grieg. Specifically, the city has named a concert hall (Grieg Hall), a music school (Grieg Academy), and a professional choir (Edvard Grieg Kor) after him. As a matter of fact, there is also a museum located at his former home in Troldhaugen. Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 (Op. 46) Grieg wrote incidental music for the purpose of illustrating a play by Ibsen known as Peer Gynt. The play includes, in particular, the famous selection entitled, In the Hall of the Mountain King. In this composition, Grieg depicts the exploits of the scoundrel, Peer Gynt. In one famous episode, for example, Peer steals a bride at her wedding. For this reason, the people chase him, but soon Peer falls, striking his skull on a boulder. He wakens forthwith in a highland bounded by angry gnomes. Consequently, the music of In the Hall of the Mountain King represents the mad gnomes taunting Peer. Therefore, each time the theme repeats it gets louder and faster. In the end, Peer surprisingly escapes from the mountain. Holberg Suite and Misc. Summary It must be remembered that Grieg originally wrote his Holberg Suite for the piano. In other words, he only later arranged it for strings. Further, Grieg composed many songs with lyrics by famous writers such as Heine, Goethe, Ibsen, Hans Christian Andersen, Rudyard Kipling, and others. On balance, Norwegian pianist Eva Knardahl recorded altogether Grieg’s whole piano catalog on LP in 1980. These recordings were released again on CD in 2006. In any event, Grieg himself performed and recorded the bulk of these pieces toward the end of his life.

Instrumental Duet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1365910 Composed by Ian Deterling. Classical. 172 pages. Ian Deterling #950261. Published by Ian Deterling (A0.1365910). Note: The original version of Duet in D-Flat Major made use of relatively uncommon time signatures (6/16; 9/16; 12/16). This 'Alternate Version' has rewritten the piece into more familiar time signatures (6/8; 9/8; 12/8). Duet in D-Flat Major was written in what could perhaps be best described as a burst of inspiration. After a couple of days of casually juggling some motifs around in my mind, clicked and I woke up with a musical idea that I scrambled to write down as quickly as possible. I spent the majority of that day developing these ideas, and this became what is now the third movement. Some of the ‘leftover ideas’ that didn’t make it into the finale were used as seeds for the second movement - in particular, the motifs at measure 9 and from 70-80. The opening movement ended up being the last one written and begins with a noble and/or heroic fanfare in 6/16. The second movement cautiously meanders through unexpected harmonies, much like someone nervously exploring unfamiliar places. The finale is another fanfare, but has some mischievous fun after turning a few harmonic corners in minor. My goal with this duet was to create a musical universe that has the grandeur of an orchestra with just two voices.  I’ve adapted this duet for a variety of instruments. The score reads as a small flex-band ensemble, but this piece is intended to be performed by just two musicians.Instruments:Part 1 - Clarinet in Bb - Alto Clarinet - Bass Clarinet - Alto Saxophone - Tenor Saxophone in Bb - Baritone Saxophone - Trumpet in Bb - Horn in F - Alto TrombonePart 2 - Bass Clarinet - Bassoon - Baritone Saxophone - Trombone - Bass Trombone - Euphonium (BC and TC) - Tuba.
