I transcribed Nelson Riddle arrangement on soundtrack by ear.  I transposed it to an easy key for young ensembles and added to the celeste figuration.  The second half is entirely original- a 60's swing style groove.  I tacked on a Peter Gunn influenced finale.  It was put together to honor Henry Mancini's centennial.  The audience loved it.

Sinatra first recorded The Christmas Waltz with a chorus with an arrangement by Nelson Riddle on August 23, 1954. In 1957, Gordon Jenkins took over the arranging, and The Ralph Brewster Singers provided backing vocal on the recording for A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra. In 1968, Riddle again provided arrangements, but it was The Jimmy Joyce Singers who lent their voices to the recording for The Sinatra Family Wish You a Merry Christmas.

This arrangement for SATB with orchestra includes a key change to provide a brief instrumental break with the chorus rejoining on the second 8 bars with Ahhs and then back to the lyric. It makes a great opening number for any Holiday concert.

The song's original working title was Undeniable; however, the music publishing company asked Gordon to change it to Unforgettable. The song was published in 1951. The most popular version of the song was recorded by Nat King Cole in 1951 from his album Unforgettable (1952), with an arrangement written by Nelson Riddle.

Time After Time is a jazz standard about nostalgia with lyrics written by Sammy Cahn and music by Jule Styne in 1946.

The first recording was on November 19, 1946 for Musicra by Sarah Vaughan with the Teddy Wilson Quartet: Wilson on piano, Charlie Ventura on tenor saxophone, Remo Palmieri on guitar, and Billy Taylor on double bass.

The song was written for Frank Sinatra in the 1947 film It Happened in Brooklyn. The pianist providing the music offstage was André Previn. Sinatra recorded it again in 1957 with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra.

This song was one of the first recorded by Frank Sinatra when he transferred to Capitol Records in 1953. His recording on April 30, 1953, with an orchestra conducted by Nelson Riddle reached #14 on Billboard's most played list.

Wood and lyrics by Jack Lawrence. Vocalist Vic Damone recorded this version in the same year and released it as a B-side to I'll Always Be In Love With You (Mercury 5072), but it was unsuccessful. In 1952, Robert Mellin wrote a new title and lyrics for the song, and it was republished the next year as “My One and Only Love�. When Frank Sinatra recorded it in 1953 with Nelson Riddle, first released as B-side to his hit single I've Got the World on a String (Capitol 2505), it became known as a jazz standard.
