The episode was written by freelance writer Morgan Gendel based on his original pitch. It was partly inspired by the Beatles' song The Inner Light, written by George Harrison and based on verses in the Tao Te Ching. In this episode, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) is struck unconscious by an energy beam from an alien probe. While minutes pass for the rest of the crew, the probe makes Picard experience 40 years of lifetime as Kamin, a humanoid scientist whose planet is threatened by the nova of its sun. The probe is later found to contain a flute, which Picard keeps as a memento for the remainder of the series and in Star Trek: Picard. The flute melody, featured prominently in the episode, was composed by Jay Chattaway and has since been re-arranged for a full orchestra. Phil Beaman #5969595. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844886). The Italian Baroque composer Alessandro Scarlatti wrote Cara e Dolce as a Vocal Aria for his opera Fidalba e Oreste (ca 1679). It was originally written with just melody and a figured bass line. I have arranged it for an Instrumental Trio. I began by putting the original melody and bass line in place with minor changes. Then I realized a single inner voice according to the figured bass. Since there were no lyrics now, I needed to add interest musically. I next elaborated each of the lines with extra notes to create a more melodic line for each part. Then in several places I also elaborated the figured bass and used period chord substitutions to strengthen texture. Next I devised detailed new phrasing to create a more polyphonic feeling. Finally I decorated with numerous baroque ornaments and dynamics. Don't worry, all that effort was just to make it easy and fun for you to play and absolutely gorgeous. This piece is a fantastic addition to Baroque period repertoire.

You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth - Choral Arrangement for SATB and Piano by Michael Thomas Coull.You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (also known as You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)) is the first solo single by the American singer Meat Loaf, released in 1977.  It is a track from his album Bat Out of Hell, written by Jim Steinman. According to his autobiography, Meat Loaf asked Jim Steinman to write a song that was not 15 or 20 minutes long, and, in Meat Loaf’s words, a ‘pop song’.  His autobiography also dates the writing of the song to 1975, the song reportedly being a key factor in Meat Loaf and Steinman deciding to do an album together.  The song was the first single released from the album, with an edit of For Crying Out Loud as the B-side.  The record peaked at No. 73 in the Record World singles chart, and didn't appear at all in Billboard Hot 100.  Billboard reviewed the single, finding the guitar introduction to be energetic, the beat to be ‘catchy’ and the vocal performance to be somewhat similar to Bruce Springsteen.  Billboard also commented on how occasional pauses in the instruments allow the ‘infectious’ vocals to be highlighted.   Following the success of the next two singles, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad and Paradise by the Dashboard Light, the song was re-released in October 1978 with Paradise as the B-side.  This issue peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, over a year after the first release of the song.This exciting and energetic choral arrangement is voiced for full SATB choir with piano accompaniment, and will lend a touch of contemporary pop/rock to your next concert.Also available for SSAA.
