Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Bass Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844882 Composed by Alessandro Scarlatti. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Baroque,Opera,Standards. 6 pages. Phil Beaman #5969543. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844882). The Italian Baroque composer Alessandro Scarlatti wrote Cara e Dolce as a Vocal Aria for his opera Fidalba e Oreste (ca 1679). It was originally written with just melody and a figured bass line. I have arranged it for an Instrumental Trio. I began by putting the original melody and bass line in place with minor changes. Then I realized a single inner voice according to the figured bass. Since there were no lyrics now, I needed to add interest musically. I next elaborated each of the lines with extra notes to create a more melodic line for each part. Then in several places I also elaborated the figured bass and used period chord substitutions to strengthen texture. Next I devised detailed new phrasing to create a more polyphonic feeling. Finally I decorated with numerous baroque ornaments and dynamics. Don't worry, all that effort was just to make it easy and fun for you to play and absolutely gorgeous. This piece is a fantastic addition to Baroque period repertoire.

C Instrument - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1101538 By Jack Leonard with Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. By Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein. Arranged by Davi Rocha Campos. Broadway,Film/TV,Instructional,Jazz,Musical/Show,Standards. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 1 pages. Davi Rocha Campos #704916. Published by Davi Rocha Campos (A0.1101538). This score is in G, but, the audio is in Ab How to read accidents in sheet music Lesson 9 Signs of change. This class is about sharp #, flat b and bequadro (I can't do this sign by keyboard. That's why it's important to watch this class that will be on the card in the upper right corner). There are still the signs of double sharp x or ## and double flat bb. Don't be folded bequadro. I ask permission to use pleonasm Sharp # function: raises the pitch of the note by a semitone up. Makes the note a semitone higher. B-flat function: lower the pitch of the note by a semitone down. Makes the note a semitone lower. Double sharp x or ## function: raise the pitch of the note by one step. Makes the note a higher pitch. Double-flat bb function: lower the pitch of the note by one tone. Makes the pitch of the note a lower pitch. Bequadro function (I can't make this signal by keyboard. That's why it's important to watch this class that will be on the cards in the upper right corner). Nullify both the sharp (whether it's doubled or not) and the flat function (whether it's doubled or not). The bequadro still cancels the accidents of the key signature. Lesson 10 Bars and bar numbers It is a vertical line placed on the pentagram. It serves to organize the writing of the score in a Cartesian way. When the amount of beats exceeds the measure, it is necessary to place the vertical line and continue in another measure. This is one of the reasons to know the bar count. Another reason is when a large group is going to rehearse a song and it is often necessary to stop the rehearsal in order to make necessary adjustments. In this case, to optimize the rehearsal, the music is not restarted from measure 1, but from a few measures before the adjustments made, whether by the group, conductors, etc. The barline cancels out the accidentals that occur. For example, if an F# note appears in the middle of a piece of music, when that F moves to the next measure, it will no longer be sharp. The barline also cancels the bequadro in this situation, that is, if by chance the music is not set to a key other than C major or A minor, when the bequadro appears precisely on the keynote note, in the next bar if it is not spelled again, the key signature accident takes effect. Choral Choir (4-Part) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.799663 Composed by D. M. Gardner. Contemporary. Octavo. 34 pages. D. M. Gardner Music #3370301. Published by D. M. Gardner Music (A0.799663). CHORAL SCORE***FULL SCORE and INSTRUMENTAL PARTS SOLD SEPARATELY***Nebraska, My Heartland was written to not only celebrate 150 years of Nebraskan history, but to express my own gratitude for all that the Midwestern way of life has to offer. It celebrates the natural beauty of the Sandhills, prairies, forests, and bluffs, along with the strength of its people, its flourishing family friendly communities, and its deep and rich traditions in the arts. I have lived near mountains, near oceans, and visited some of the most beautiful places in the world, but none of those places have ever felt as much like home as Nebraska. Nebraska, My Heartland incorporates the poetry of both Willa Cather, the famous Nebraskan poet and writer who helped the rest of America gain an appreciation for the pioneer life, and Veronica Torraca-Bragdon, a contemporary poet and friend whose heart will always belong to Nebraska. Cather’s poem, Prairie Spring was chosen because it vividly portrays the struggles of the pioneers who originally settled here, yet juxtaposes this struggle with youthful determination, and the optimism and enthusiasm brought about by hope.  Veronica’s poem, titled Nebraska, is the centerpiece for the fanfare and celebration of a state that abounds with success in all of the ways that make Nebraska a great place to live. The music begins as the sun is about to rise and burst forth with the promise of a new day. It speaks of Nebraska’s natural beauty and landscapes while the sweet song of the Western Meadowlark, our state bird, drifts on the wind.  Next, the changing seasons and thriving spirit of Nebraska’s people are portrayed with an energetic, youthful melody leading into a celebratory sesquicentennial fanfare. But as the seasons change, the listener is reminded that to thrive is also to persevere, and soon a storm begins to loom. First the rolling thunder, then the rain, and finally the full devastation of nature’s fury are realized by the combined forces of both ensembles. Yet, as hope springs eternal, we are reminded again of the strength of the pioneer and the roots that keep us anchored against the storm. Out of this resilience bursts forth a brilliant light signifying the future that is before us for this generation and the next, ending with words that summarize so eloquently how Nebraskans feel about their home: With loving beauty, you’ll forever shine!INSTRUMENTATION1 Piccolo2 Flute 12 Flute 22 Flute 31 Oboe 11 Oboe 21 Bassoon 11 Bassoon 24 Bb Clarinet 14 Bb Clarinet 24 Bb Clarinet 32 Bb Bass Clarinet1 Eb Alto Saxophone 11 Eb Alto Saxophone 21 Bb Tenor Saxophone1 Eb Baritone Saxophone 3 Bb Trumpet 1 3 Bb Trumpet 2 3 Bb Trumpet 3 3 Bb Trumpet 4 1 F Horn 1 1 F Horn 2 1 F Horn 3 1 F Horn 42 Trombone 12 Trombone 22 Bass trombone3 Euphonium B.C. / Baritone T.C. 6 Tuba 1 Timpani (4 drums) 5 PERCUSSIONSuspended CymbalCrash Cymbal,Wind Chimes,Orchestral Chimes,Snare Drum (3 if available), Bass Drum, *Wind Machine (optional),*Suspended Thundersheet (as available), *Large Timpani Drumhead 1 PITCHED PERCUSSION Glockenspiel,Marimba SATB & Rehearsal PianoTo learn more about the composer, please visit https://www.dmgardner.com

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1289409 By Bill Chase. By Bill Chase, Jeff Moore, and Scott Boerma. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Contemporary,Jazz,Rock. Score. 10 pages. Jeff Tincher #880155. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.1289409). Here is a song that still thrills me to listen to. If you like screaming trumpets, this song is for you. In the original key from the LP Chase, this song is a fast, driving piece. One note about this arrangement...I know it's next to impossible to play both the melody and the chords in some parts of this arrangement. I wanted to keep the arrangement as it appears in the record as close as possible. I have a fond memory of this song and am sorry you can't experience this version anymore. I was working in a department store electronics dept the year Quadrophonic music came out. Quad was the precursor to Surround Sound. To stand in the middle of 4 speakers facing you and here the opening riffs of this song bounce from one speaker to the next is an experience that is hard to describe. There is a youTube video that has the Quad version posted. But it just isn't the same.

Clarinet,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.907129 Composed by Emily Wood. Christian,Concert,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards. Score and part. 16 pages. Emily Sue Wood #4323489. Published by Emily Sue Wood (A0.907129). This is a programmatic piece for clarinet and piano based on 1 John 4:1-6, in which the apostle John warns the early church to discern the true spirit of God from false spirits of the antichrist. In the beginning, the soloist introduces the God melody, a pure and simple line. The next section, depicting the false spirits, takes this melody and turns it into what starts as cutesy and endearing, but ends up into an awkward and chaotic mess. God asserts Himself in the next section, bringing the chaos to a halt. Then, the false spirits try to steal the spotlight again, but they fail, of course. The Lord always triumphs, and His sheep know their Shepherd when they hear His voice. About 6 minutes long, written in fall 2018. .

Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576014 Composed by David Warin Solomons. Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. David Warin Solomons #44017. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576014). This is one of a suite of organ pieces composed by David W Solomons performed by David Carlston Williams for a CD in June 2015 The suggested order for this suite is: 1. Passacaglia: based on an ostinato passage in 3 time. The idea behind the passacaglia relates to the origin of the word, it is basically a gentle stroll down the street (pasar la calle in Spanish, which was converted into Passacaglia in Italian) 2. Dorina: a descriptive piece in Dorian mode based on a song about a cat, from the aptly named village of Chattevoix, who stalks, but never catches, a little bird. 3. Playtime: also about a cat, the composer's own cat who is playful and rushes around the house but occasionally stopping to pummel the soft furnishings. 4. Early Evening in Camden Town: a more serious and sad piece - in 3-3-2 time. It is an evocation of the poor folk in Camden and their dreams of what could be, if only….. It was originally a song, which the composer wrote when he was living in London, based on a poem by fellow Londoner Sandra Erös The streets are part of a toy town, waiting to be played with…. 5. The Bishop's Dance: a curious and comical piece in 11 time (3, 3, 3, 2). It comes from the legend of Robin Hood, in which Robin meets the bishop of Hereford, who had hoped to get the better of him, but Robin prevails and forces him to dance. The clumsy attempts of the ungainly Bishop to obey Robin's commands cause great merriment among the merry men To quote our vicar, Rev Barbara, after the recital For me music paints a picture, and, for that, I have got this picture of someone going for a stroll in their village and then they came across a very old cat wandering down the street imaging it could catch birds but never catching them. And then it would lie down for a sleep and dream of the days when it was a kitten.... It was a very reflective programme and turns our mind about What for the Autumn, what do we need to do next.. it really did fit in with the mood of the year, as we turn towards building up the programme for next year... So thank you, it gave us time to reflect in a very beautiful manner.... The rest of the suite is also available on this site: separately (with performances by David Carlston Williams) and as a set (with David's performance of Passacaglia).

B-Flat Clarinet,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1271341 Composed by By Kara Williams. Chamber,Classical,Comedy,Contest,Festival. Score and part. 21 pages. Kara Williams #863736. Published by Kara Williams (A0.1271341). Suite in Sea is a fun and quirky work for solo clarinet and piano composed by Kara Williams. Each movement draws on inspiration from Kara’s own time at sea serving in the military imagined as a suite of four short programmatic movements. We follow a young sailor as they stagger around the deck in the rough weather, finally succumbing to the corkscrew motion of the ocean in ‘Sea Sick Shanty’; a moment of peace and beauty for the young sailor as the ship sails through an ‘Archipelago’ teaming with marine life; In ‘Brew Time March, the young sailor excitedly hears the bugle call to have a break from work (brew time), grab a coffee and sit on the bow to watch the waves… lost in thoughts, they unexpectedly hear the sound of work recommencing, and scurry back, making it just in the nick of time… waiting eagerly for next the next call for Brew Time! The preparation, spectacle, pride, and excitement of ‘Sailing into Harbour’ completes this suite, suitable for an intermediate to more advanced player looking for something entertaining and a little bit different! Range E1-G4. Total performance time, just over 10 minutes. To hear audio files of all four movements, please go to the composer's website karawilliamsmusic.com.
