Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1422251 By Alan Wagstaff. By Alan Wagstaff. Arranged by Alan Wagstaff. Celtic,Country,Folk,Irish,New Age,Singer/Songwriter. 18 pages. Alan Wagstaff #1003599. Published by Alan Wagstaff (A0.1422251). 'Where Are We Going?' is an Irish style waltz written for soprano voice, fiddle, harp, accordion, flute, and bass. Here is the lyric:'Where are we going?' you asked me today.Truth is - I have no idea.Wherever we're heading - we're heading that way;today - let's enjoy being here. I don't buy into this mad human race.Everyone's rushing to some distant place.Everyone’s hoping some day they'll arrive.I'm busy being alive. What happens next, now that we two have met,Leave in the lap of the gods.'Now' is a moment I cannot regret -right now, we have beaten the odds. I don't buy into this mad human race.Everyone's rushing to some distant place.Everyone’s hoping some day they'll arrive.I'm busy being alive. I love uncertainty - I love the road,I love the time spent with you.I love not knowing the last episode,I love what we're going through. Don’t even know what's around the next bend.Don't want to know, or to see.One thing's for certain - I'll still be your friend,Right now, that feels solid to me. I don't buy into this mad human race.Everyone's rushing to some distant place.Everyone’s hoping some day they'll arrive.I'm busy being alive.

C Instrument - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1104606 By Jack Leonard with Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. By Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein. Arranged by Davi Rocha Campos. Broadway,Classical,Film/TV,Instructional,Jazz,Musical/Show. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 1 pages. Davi Rocha Campos #707831. Published by Davi Rocha Campos (A0.1104606). This score is in C, but, the audio is in Ab. How to read accidents in sheet music Lesson 9 Signs of change. This class is about sharp #, flat b and bequadro (I can't do this sign by keyboard. That's why it's important to watch this class that will be on the card in the upper right corner). There are still the signs of double sharp x or ## and double flat bb. Don't be folded bequadro. I ask permission to use pleonasm Sharp # function: raises the pitch of the note by a semitone up. Makes the note a semitone higher. B-flat function: lower the pitch of the note by a semitone down. Makes the note a semitone lower. Double sharp x or ## function: raise the pitch of the note by one step. Makes the note a higher pitch. Double-flat bb function: lower the pitch of the note by one tone. Makes the pitch of the note a lower pitch. Bequadro function (I can't make this signal by keyboard. That's why it's important to watch this class that will be on the cards in the upper right corner). Nullify both the sharp (whether it's doubled or not) and the flat function (whether it's doubled or not). The bequadro still cancels the accidents of the key signature. Lesson 10 Bars and bar numbers It is a vertical line placed on the pentagram. It serves to organize the writing of the score in a Cartesian way. When the amount of beats exceeds the measure, it is necessary to place the vertical line and continue in another measure. This is one of the reasons to know the bar count. Another reason is when a large group is going to rehearse a song and it is often necessary to stop the rehearsal in order to make necessary adjustments. In this case, to optimize the rehearsal, the music is not restarted from measure 1, but from a few measures before the adjustments made, whether by the group, conductors, etc. The barline cancels out the accidentals that occur. For example, if an F# note appears in the middle of a piece of music, when that F moves to the next measure, it will no longer be sharp. The barline also cancels the bequadro in this situation, that is, if by chance the music is not set to a key other than C major or A minor, when the bequadro appears precisely on the keynote note, in the next bar if it is not spelled again, the key signature accident takes effect.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.828263 Composed by Paul Thurmond. New Age,Pop,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 3 pages. Paul Thurmond #4969097. Published by Paul Thurmond (A0.828263). Use: Prelude, Offertory, CommunionI have a nice view from my studio window on the second floor of my house. It overlooks our big backyard, some trees and brush, a couple of fields, and some small mountains in the distance. My studio is set up so that as I play I can look outside. This year in Tennessee we’ve had more snow than normal. There have been many school closings. Even Tennessee Tech shut down at times, which hardly ever happens. So I’ve had some opportunities to sit in my studio in the middle of the day, look out my window at the beautiful falling snow, and write music.I began today’s piece a few weeks ago, during one of the largest snowfalls I’ve seen since I moved here from Wisconsin. I composed a few measures that I liked, couldn’t think of where to go next, and put it aside for a time. For the next few days I kept coming back to it, always liking what I had already written, but not able to add anything new. Then we had another snowfall. This time I was able to finish the basic structure of the piece, but I got stuck when I started to polish it up.A couple of days ago it snowed yet again, and I completed the work and recorded it.Today is Saturday, and it’s not snowing as I write this. However, they’re predicting more snow on Monday, which is usually the day I edit my blog posts. [Last minute update: No snow on Monday, although we did get 2 inches of rain.]Apparently, this piece owes its existence to frozen precipitation. I considered naming it Paean to the Snow Muses, but I think I’ll stick with my original title, February.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1289409 By Bill Chase. By Bill Chase, Jeff Moore, and Scott Boerma. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Contemporary,Jazz,Rock. Score. 10 pages. Jeff Tincher #880155. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.1289409). Here is a song that still thrills me to listen to. If you like screaming trumpets, this song is for you. In the original key from the LP Chase, this song is a fast, driving piece. One note about this arrangement...I know it's next to impossible to play both the melody and the chords in some parts of this arrangement. I wanted to keep the arrangement as it appears in the record as close as possible. I have a fond memory of this song and am sorry you can't experience this version anymore. I was working in a department store electronics dept the year Quadrophonic music came out. Quad was the precursor to Surround Sound. To stand in the middle of 4 speakers facing you and here the opening riffs of this song bounce from one speaker to the next is an experience that is hard to describe. There is a youTube video that has the Quad version posted. But it just isn't the same.

Small Ensemble Bassoon,Oboe,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844884 Composed by Alessandro Scarlatti. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Baroque,Opera,Standards. Score and parts. 6 pages. Phil Beaman #5969527. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844884). The Italian Baroque composer Alessandro Scarlatti wrote Cara e Dolce as a Vocal Aria for his opera Fidalba e Oreste (ca 1679). It was originally written with just melody and a figured bass line. I have arranged it for an Instrumental Trio. I began by putting the original melody and bass line in place with minor changes. Then I realized a single inner voice according to the figured bass. Since there were no lyrics now, I needed to add interest musically. I next elaborated each of the lines with extra notes to create a more melodic line for each part. Then in several places I also elaborated the figured bass and used period chord substitutions to strengthen texture. Next I devised detailed new phrasing to create a more polyphonic feeling. Finally I decorated with numerous baroque ornaments and dynamics. Don't worry, all that effort was just to make it easy and fun for you to play and absolutely gorgeous. This piece is a fantastic addition to Baroque period repertoire.

Concert Band - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1472273 Composed by Richard Strauss. Arranged by Steven Nunes. Opera,Romantic Period. 391 pages. Nagamon Publications #1049975. Published by Nagamon Publications (A0.1472273). Richard Georg Strauss (11 June 1864 – 8 September 1949) was a German composer and conductor best known for his tone poems and operas. Considered a leading composer of the late Romantic and early modern eras, he has been described as a successor of Richard Wagner and Franz Liszt. Along with Gustav Mahler, he represents the late flowering of German Romanticism, in which pioneering subtleties of orchestration are combined with an advanced harmonic style.Der Rosenkavalier (The Knight of the Rose or The Rose-Bearer), Op. 59, is a comic opera in three acts by Richard Strauss to an original German libretto by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. It is loosely adapted from Louvet de Couvrai's novel Les amours du chevalier de Faublas and Molière's comedy Monsieur de Pourceaugnac. In 1945 Strauss allowed an orchestral Rosenkavalier Suite to be published, but apparently was not involved in creating it.  It is likely that conductor Artur Rodzi?ski arranged it, as he conducted the suite's first performance, in October 1944 by the New York Philharmonic. The suite begins with the opera's orchestral prelude, depicting the Marschallin's and Octavian's night of passion (vividly portrayed by whooping horns and saxophones). Next comes the appearance of Octavian as the Rosenkavalier, depicted in tender music; the sight of him looking so young makes the Marschallin realise that he will soon leave her for a younger woman. There follows the duet between Octavian and Sophie – in which their love for each other becomes ever more obvious, but this is abruptly interrupted by the discordant music associated with Ochs's clumsy arrival. Next the violins tentatively introduce the first waltz, followed by another given out by the solo violin, before the whole orchestra settles into waltz mode. A general pause and a violin solo leads into the nostalgic music where the Marschallin sadly realises she has lost Octavian. Then comes its ecstatic climax. The work closes with a singularly robust waltz, depicting Ochs at his most pompous, and a boisterous coda newly composed for the suite. The PDF contains the Full Score and a full set of parts.
