St Clement, in 98. 98. meter is a popular British tune to John Ellerton's hymn The Day Thou Gavest, Lord, is Ended. The tune is generally credited to the Rev. Clement Cotterill Scholefield (1839–1904). It first appeared in Sir Arthur Sullivan's Church Hymns with Tunes (1874). Scholefield was born at Edgbaston, Birmingham, and was the youngest son of William Scholefield, MP for Birmingham. [Wikipedia]

Dream Angus – Traditional Scottish Tune [A Flat Major] - Orchestra

Dream Angus is an old Scottish folk song, the origins of which cannot be traced. Numerous groups have portrayed the song as a lullaby, most notably Annie Lennox.

Angus is the purveyor of dreams and the song is sung to children (bairns) at night-time to quieten them before sleep…

This orchestral arrangement has been given a somewhat more symphonic treatment! Percussion parts include Glockenspiel, Timpani, and a Drum Set with a Celtic feel. There are many flowing counter melodies especially for Horns and a descant line for Piccolo, Flute, Oboe, and Trumpet…

Feeling Fine is an original composition for Orchestra which initially started out as a Violin Solo against a string background continuo. (Hence the repetitive nature of most of the string parts and some woodwind parts.)  

Now expanded to a full orchestral arrangement. On each repeat, there is a different combination of melodies and counter-melodies with an expanded instrumentation. The optimistic nature of the music is reflected in the title.

The Gift (Lullaby for Jonathan) is a beautiful tune written by my brother Martin for my son Jonathan when he was a baby, originally as a piano solo… I’ve just finished scoring it for concert band and orchestra with his permission - almost 25 years later! Christmas Suite No. 4 – Concert Band

This is an arrangement of three Traditional German Christmas Carols for the Orchestral. [Key F to Bb] The suite is in one continuous movement – a bright start, a gentle lilting middle, and a majestic finale.

This original minor-keyed theme was written in 1982 as a short round. It has now been expanded to a full orchestral arrangement. It begins with the original theme for the woodwinds and strings with more instruments including brass and strings being added as the round develops. The composition continues to expand harmonically using the elements of the original round throughout. With a final climax in the last few bars, it then dies away on the last major chord. [Updated and expanded 17-01-2020]

There are parts for Harp and optional Piano (Not on the score). The only percussion parts are for Timpani and Glockenspiel…

This catchy little calypso tune was originally written to feature two clarinets with piano accompaniment but has been expanded here to a full orchestral arrangement. There is plenty of interest in each part. There is an optional Piano Accompaniment part included in the score.

The original tune was written in 1999 but not revised until 2008 and 2019. If you use this piece, write a review and tell me how it goes. The clarinet duet version is still available and as well as a version for Clarinet Choir (Sextet) and Concert Band.
