Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.947265 Composed by John Philips. Blues,Jazz. Score and parts. 17 pages. John Philips Music Service #3867627. Published by John Philips Music Service (A0.947265). Very easy chart for middle schools on up. Based on 12 bar blues it runs at about 140 and has simple themes that are done with unison sections. It’ funky 2 beat and make you want to clap your hands on 2 & 4. Fun to play, younger players can do it and learn. It usually works to have the horn players that are not playing in the first part of the chat clap their hands over their head on 2 and 4. This will get the people into it. This is a simple funky 2 beat and should be kept that way. Piano has dissonant afterbeats--should be soft.If you want a Maynard or Buddy chart, look elsewhere. This series of charts uses nothing more complicated than eighth notes, are not frantic or screamers, extreme ranges and are hemi-demi-semi-quaver free. They depend on intonation and the players being not intimidated by what he is asked to play. There is no contest to see how high you can go before you need oxygen , how many notes you can play in 9 seconds or before your bell overheats , or how long it takes the audience to cover their earsRelaxed and confident players always play more in tune. Good harmonies, lines and realistic rhythm patterns will produce a good result that will swing and be enjoyed by player and listener alike.

Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.947267 Composed by John Philips. Blues,Jazz. Score and parts. 15 pages. John Philips Music Service #3867629. Published by John Philips Music Service (A0.947267). First adjust the tempo...This should run at about 130/140. It’s a Funky 2 beat on I Got Rhythm changes gets into 4 on the first bridge. Ending is multiple tags with big finish. This could be opened for choruses. The idea here is the loose swing and not to concentrate on technique so it bogs down. If you liked Basie you would like this.If you want a Maynard or Buddy chart, look elsewhere. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.785792 Composed by S Joplin. Arranged by Grant Horsley. Instructional,Patriotic,Ragtime,Traditional,Wedding. Score. 5 pages. Grant Horsley #6322281. Published by Grant Horsley (A0.785792). One of the famous rags recorded on piano roll by Joplin in 1902.This arrangement has been made simpler to allow more pianists to have a go at this great rag.The main change was to convert it to 4/4 instead of the (2/4 common two-step time signature for rags). The main reason is for easy of reading- and maybe easier on the eye to comprehendI have taken out nearly all of the large stretches and limited the harmony parts to what is essential and nothing more. There are no big leaps or complex rhythms. It is 4 pages long and 4 mins 30 in length. The youtube link has the full score for you to assess suitability.I have set it for intermediate player- it's great fun and would be useful as a showpiece, something to play for concerts, recitals, productions, etc.

Anderson M. Matos #424836. Published by Anderson M. Matos (A0.819887). Hello everyone.. after a few weeks, the video of my project is finished, which involves around 25 people from different parts of the world, together now for just 1 objective.. peace in the world, not war, and peace in Ukraine.🇺🇦🙠I would first like to thank Kana Omori , for being the first to accept the invitation to play in my project and for being the full support in this project, I would also like to thank all the musicians, speakers participants.. really... it was not easy to edit everything.. even more so because I let each guest perform their own free performance (I'm glad there wasn't much difference in tempo) I left this part free because I wanted to express that even though we are different from each other, being in different countries, different instruments, religion, ethnicity, sexuality.. we are all the same when we play the same music... there is nothing more important at this moment than doing what we love, which is playing music and we can bring peace, love and affection to those who watch us playing... this is gratifying.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.775299 By Chicago. By Robert Lamm. Arranged by Alex Wilson. Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 28 pages. Alexander Wilson #5299121. Published by Alexander Wilson (A0.775299). Written by Robert Lamm and recorded in 1969, 25 or 6 to 4 is one of the band Chicago's most well known hits.  There was speculation about the meaning of the title, including one hypothesis that led the song to be banned in Singapore for over 20 years for alleged allusions to drugs, but according to the composer the song is about writing music in the early morning, and the title is nothing more salacious than 3:35am (25 to 4) or 3:34am (26 to 4).In any case, this song remains a classic of the rock genre 40 years after its publication, and is arranged here for 10 Bb trumpets.  Most of the higher and more difficult licks are concentrated in the top 4 parts, and the 1st part requires particular skill (leading me to mark this arrangement's difficulty as advanced intermediate), but each trumpeter involved will have have at least one moment of guitar-solo glory.  Perfect for a large trumpet ensemble with diverse skill levels.

Alto Saxophone,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533506 Composed by Ali Ben Sou Alle. Concert,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 13 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3002369. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533506). Jenny L'Ouvrière is a popular romance from 1845 with music by Étienne Arnaud and words by Emile Barateau. The song speaks of an hardworking weaver who is poor, but also courageous and good. The pastorale-like theme is also presented in a more varied form. One of the most enigmatic figures in the history of the Saxophone, Ali Ben Sou Alle (Charles-Valentin Soualle) was born in 1820 in Arras, France. After receiving his first prize in Clarinet at the Paris Conservatory in 1844. he served as the director of music of The French Marine Band in Senegal, and then was named first clarinet solo at the Opéra-Comique in Paris. However, after the Revolution of 1848, Soualle was forced to flee France to England where he settled in London, playing in the Orchestra of the Queen's Theatre. His songs and piano pieces were published in London. While in London, Soualle met another exiled French musician, Louis Antoine Jullien, who conducted a light music series in London. Jullien encouraged Soualle to take up the saxophone, and after modifying the instrument by adding a single octave mechanism (the modern system used today) and keys for the lower register, Soualle became known as a virtuoso and began touring performing solo recitals (or mono-concerts, as they were called at the time) calling his modified saxophone the «turcophone ». He performed in all the European capitals and then traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Manilla, Java, through China and then to India where he finally settled in Mysore, becoming the director of the Royal Music for the Maharadjah. It was during this period that heconverted to Islam and changed his nmae to Ali ben Sou Alle (or Ali, son of Soualle). He subsequently travaled to Ile Maurice, to French Polynesia, the Cap of Natal and the Cap of Good Hope. All of these voyages were subjects of musical works which Soualle entitled Souvenirs de... and may perhaps have been part of a collection known as The Royal Album which was presented to the Prince of Wales after a royal concert. Soualle returned to Mysore in 1858 and was almost killed in the Indian Revolution. Around 1860, Soualle returned to France for health reasons and began publishing his own music. OnMarch 27 1865, he performed a command performance for the Emperor Napoleon III at the Tuileries Palace in the presence of the entire Imperial Family. After 1865, nothing more is known about him.

Downloadable, Study score. Op. 55. Ernst Eulenburg & Co. GmbH - Digital #Q19576. Published by Ernst Eulenburg & Co. GmbH - Digital (S9.Q19576). Key: E flat major. German • English.'So he too is nothing more than an ordinary man. [...] he will place himself above everyone else and become a tyrant!' is what Beethoven is said to have shouted full of rage when Napoleon had declared himself emperor, and supposedly tore the title page of Symphony No. 3 headed 'Bonaparte' to pieces. Despite his anger, however, the work was again headed 'Bonaparte' when he wanted to publish it in 1804. But it was the first edition of 1806 which finally bore the title of Sinfonia eroica. Symphony No. 3 was Beethoven's first work in which he had come to terms with his progressing deafness and left the boundaries of the musical conventions far behind.

Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533505). The concert waltz Adieu begins with an introduction in the style of a Bel Canto aria. The Valse which follows is divided into several sections of contrasting styles and tonalites. The coda brings the piece to a calm and quiet close which is broken by a final fortissimo outburst. One of the most enigmatic figures in the history of the Saxophone, Ali Ben Sou Alle (Charles-Valentin Soualle) was born in 1820 in Arras, France. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533493). Souvenirs d’Île Maurice begins with a lyrical pastorale in 12/8 time which features chromatic harmonies in the piano. The Rondo section presents first a Waltz theme in minor mode and then reprises the pastorale theme which is then varied in several brilliant passages. One of the most enigmatic figures in the history of the Saxophone, Ali Ben Sou Alle (Charles-Valentin Soualle) was born in1820 in Arras, France.
