Organ - easy - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q22568 Urtext. Composed by Johann Wilhelm Haessler. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q22568. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q22568). Despite the central role of the organ in the life of Johann Wilhelm Häßler (1747-1822), he dealt with the organ only occasionally as a composer. The 'Acht und vierzig kleine(n) Orgelstücke, theils zu Choral=Vorspielen beim öffentlichen Gottesdienst, theils zur Privatübung für angehende Orgelspieler und Schulmeister auf dem Lande bestimmt', as says the original title, represent the entire output of his organ works. In many of these short pieces, Häßler developed a miniature-like, facet-like form combining Baroque elements with a sentimental gesture and sometimes giving an idea of a Romantic character piece.

Instrumental Solo,Pipe Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1089729 Composed by Julius Katterfeldt. Baroque,Classical,Romantic Period. Individual part. 9 pages. Albismusic #693937. Published by Albismusic (A0.1089729). Copyright 2005 by AlbisMusic - Julius Katterfeldt (1813-1886) started his career like Vincent Lübeck jun. once did: focused on a Schnitger organ. For his father worked at the Jacobi Church in Hamburg. Above all, the three Nachspiele op. 1, which he dedicated to three Hamburg citizens in the early 1830s, can be related to this early period; they were probably written after Katterfeldt's master apprenticeship with Christian Heinrich Rinck in Darmstadt. Later active in Schleswig, Preetz and Schwerin, this famous Sonata for Organ was printed by him in 1885, whose introductory section is inconceivable without knowledge of the virtuoso organ style of the Buxtehude tradition.

Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1475637 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Phil Lehenbauer. Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Lent,Sacred. Score. 8 pages. Phil Lehenbauer #1053193. Published by Phil Lehenbauer (A0.1475637). This work for trombone and organ is part of the 2024 Suite for Trombone and Organ, which is geared toward the younger, less experienced player, with works that can be performed at church services and other occasions.  Dido's Lament, from Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas is a lyrical, somber piece, giving the younger player the chance to develop phrasing and legato playing.  The emotional mood of this makes it perfect during reflective times of a service, especially during the Lenten season.  The range is one that a typical high school player (or advanced middle schooler) could play, with rhythms well within the reach of players at that level.  The solo part is well-supported by the organ part, with hopes that rehearsals can be minimal in putting this together for performance.  There are two other movements to this 2024 Suite, both available on this site as well.  Please give that young musician the chance to shine!  Also included is a treble clef part that could be played by trumpet, treble clef baritone, or tenor sax.
