Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1314355 Composed by James Siddons. Chamber,Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. 7 pages. James Siddons Music and Writings #903101. Published by James Siddons Music and Writings (A0.1314355). This “Meditation†uses melodic phrases from Kremser Tune, used to sing We Gather Together, and Dona Nobis Pacem. The latter is a round and gives a texture of flowing counterpoint to the homophonic stateliness of the hymn tune. Note that this is not an arrangement or medley of these two melodies, but a distinct composition built on their melodic phrases (motives). For Christian worship, this short piece is appropriate for services of Christian unity and peace, and, in the United States, for Thanksgiving Day. This composition is also available as a mixed wind quartet for flute, clarinet in Bb, tenor saxophone, and trumpet in Bb. The first performance was on November 5, 2023, at Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church, Lynchburg, Virginia.

Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.560048 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Lisa Ochoco. Classical,Instructional. 14 pages. Lisa L Ochoco #6381943. Published by Lisa L Ochoco (A0.560048). Dona Nobis Pacem is a very well-known canon that most musicians have played. This arrangement is a fun study in negative harmony - as the title indicates. Negative harmony is the brainchild of Swiss composer, Ernst Levy. The concept, very simply put, is an inversion of chords and notes centered around an axis. The result is often quite interesting. I am only a beginner at negative harmony, and this song was an experiment, but it turned out to be quite lovely.
