Published by Amy J. Snyder (A0.1298553). We Three Kings of Orient Are is a tradtional Christmas carol written by John Henry Hopkins, Jr. in 1857. It was written for a Christmas Pageant in New York City. The song tells the story of the Magi that visited baby King Jesus some time after His birth. They brought precious gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh. This arrangement is for advanced intermediate piano solo and includes a haunting intro and interlude. Helpful fingering is added. If you enjoy this arrangement, check out Amy's other Christmas solos such as Joy to the World, What Child Is This, White Christmas, Jingle Bells, O Holy Night, Mary Did You Know, Do You Hear What I Hear, Noel, I Heard the Bells, and more! Published by Don Hodell Chilcote (A0.778638). O Little Town Of Bethlehem for piano solo or ensemble. This is an upbeat gospel version with tons of energy. It is harmonicall rich and daring in chord progressions. Piece includes a distinct and unique introduction, and development. 5 page arrangement is challenging but not overly so, and well worth the effort to learn. Similar to hymn writing by the greats, Mark Hayes, Bill Wolaver, Mary McDonald, John Carter, Llyod Larson, and Larry Shackley in todays church pianist marketplace. It was used for a prelude for a moment in time. Fun Stuff.
