Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1288901 By Roy Orbison. By Bill Dees and Roy Orbison. Arranged by John Holland. 20th Century,Film/TV,Pop,Rock,Singer/Songwriter. Score and Parts. 42 pages. John Ivor Holland #879740. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1288901). Featured, of course, in the Julia Roberts and Richard Gere film (1990) and now in its own stage musical, Oh, Pretty Woman was originally recorded by Roy Orbison and released as a single in August 1964, spending three weeks at number one in the US and, later that year, in the UK. The title was apparently inspired by Orbison's wife, Claudette, interrupting a conversation to announce she was going out. When Orbison asked if she had enough cash, his co-writer Bill Dees interjected, A pretty woman never needs any money. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it number 224 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. In 2008, The Library of Congress selected the song for preservation in the National Recording Registry. A great song for any time of the year, your band and audience will love this toe-tapping classic from the 60s, sounding as timeless today as it did back then.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.928248 Composed by Lyric Thomas Moore, Simon James, and Turlough O'carolan. Arranged by Simon James. Celtic,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 4 pages. DML #5314933. Published by DML (A0.928248). Oh Banquet Not – the lyric is by Thomas Moore set to the very famous tune Planxty Irwin written by Ireland’s most famous harper Turlough O’Carolan. Because the tune is so beautiful the first page is a guitar solo incorporating the tune before the voice joins in. Like much of Moore’s poetry there is a sadness to the words imbued with the sadness of Ireland’s turbulent history. The guitar arrangement is an original work by Simon James

Handbell - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1308213 Composed by American folk melody from Southern Harmony 1835. Arranged by Cheryl (Sutton) Baker - Bronze:FX. 19th Century,Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious. Score. 4 pages. Bronze:FX #897453. Published by Bronze:FX (A0.1308213). The arrangement is for 5, 6, 7, or 8 ringers using two octaves of handbells or handchimes. Assignments are included according to the quantity of ringers, and the piece is Level 2 when played with seven or eight ringers. This piece may also be performed by four- or six- in-hand ensembles without tables.Combining flowing lines with block chords, this arrangement of the familiar hymn tune is reminiscent of a music box. The melody is played both in the bass and the treble lines, and the easy rhythms never advance beyond the eighth note value. Every ringer is kept busy with lots of ringing, LV, some shakes, and minimal accidentals. There are a two gathering points where the ringers regain those who are lost or no longer together with the group's rhythm. On Jordan's stormy banks I stand, and cast a wishful eyeTo Canaan's fair and happy land, where my possession lie.I am bound for the promised land. I am bound for the promised land.Oh, who will come and go with me? I am bound for the promised land.– lyrics by Samuel Stennet, 1787The piece has a lovely reoccurring pattern that bridges the verses. There are two verses in all, and each one has a fermata (hold) on the question Oh, who will come and go with me?Performance time:• 2 minutes, 30 seconds.
