This version borrows from the swinging jazz style of various Sinatra recordings and is arranged as a duet for one Flute and one Viola.Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal Christmas performances. There are syncopated swing rhythms and some less familiar accidentals. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes. Instrumental Solo,Organ - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1305173 Composed by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Historic,Instructional. Individual part. 4 pages. Jmsgu3 #894609. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1305173). I performed the 2005 world premiere of Daniel Pinkham's St. Luke Organ Book, and composed/performed this piece as a prelude. In Nomine (aka the Little Time Machine) is based on the traditional tune In Nomine as a cantus prius factus. The little time machine moves through 600 years of musical style in 3 minutes. It begins as a 12th Century treatment, and morphs - period by historical period - all the way to the 20th Century. The premiere occurred at the Historic St. Luke's Organ Benefit Concert in 2005.
