Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.525264 By Katy Perry. By Esther Dean, Katy Perry, Mikkel Eriksen, Sandy Wilhelm, and Tor Erik Hermansen. Arranged by Kevin Riley. Pop. Score and parts. 47 pages. Kevin Riley #135799. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.525264). Firework is a song by American singer Katy Perry from her third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010). Perry co-wrote the song with Ester Dean and its producers Stargate and Sandy Vee. It is a dance-pop self-empowerment anthem with inspirational lyrics, and Perry felt it was an important song for her on the record. Capitol Records released it as the album's third single on October 26, 2010. The song was commercially successful, reaching number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the top five on 20 charts around the world. Firework has sold over 1 million copies in the United Kingdom, and was certified 12× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of over 12 million copies in the United States. An accompanying music video, directed by Dave Meyers, was released on October 28, 2010. It portrays Perry singing and dancing around Budapest, with interspersed scenes of young people becoming confident in themselves. An open casting call for the music video drew an unprecedented 38,000 applicants. On MuchMusic's top 50 videos of 2010, Firework reached the top position. The music video was said to be a more upbeat take on Christina Aguilera's message in Beautiful. It was nominated for three awards at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, eventually winning one of those, the Video of the Year, the main and final award. Firework was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 54th Grammy Awards. On January 5, 2012, Firework was elected the fifth most played single on US radio during 2011 by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems, with 509,000 plays.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1096025 By Elevation Worship. By Ben Fielding, Chris Brown, Jason Ingram, and Steven Furtick. Arranged by Brian Buda. Christian,Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Religious,Rock. Score. 22 pages. Budaful music #699976. Published by budaful music (A0.1096025). See a Victory reaffirms our hope in God even in dark and painful times. For the most part, this arrangement follows the basic structure of the live recording by Elevation worship, although the 2nd bridge is omitted and it ends on the turnaround to the bridge. It's long but it's also easy to omit repeats. While there is not a vocal line, the intent is that it's still useful for vocalists to sing along as most vocalists only need lyrics to sing along. 3 key options are included: the original key of Bb, as well as A and G.

Instrumental Duet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1475965 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Kamada, Mikio. Baroque. 23 pages. ACORDO Sheet Music #1053543. Published by ACORDO Sheet Music (A0.1475965). Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C, BWV 564 is one of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous organ works.Toccata: This part starts with an introduction that sounds like improvisation. It has fast, single-note passages like a concerto's cadenza. At measure 32, it changes to a bright, full sound like an orchestra.Adagio: This part is slow and very beautiful, with a sad feeling in a minor key.Fugue: In 6/8 time, this part is lively and bright, like a dance such as a Gigue or Passepied, even though it is not labeled as a dance. In my previous publication, Toccata & Fugue, BWV 565 for Violin and Viola, I showcased the unique beauty of string instruments. Similarly, in this piece, the beautiful melody of the Adagio fits perfectly with the Violin and Viola, as if it were originally composed for them. The dance-like energy of the Fugue is also easier to express with string instruments. When two people perform this piece, it creates an interesting dialogue, almost like a conversation. The introduction of the Toccata reflects this, inspired by my students who would chat enthusiastically before starting their practice. Their conversation in the music lasts for 31 measures without any chords together. The short unison phrase in measure 13 symbolizes their agreement to start playing together. After that, their conversation continues, with triplets and important motifs of this movement appearing, increasing the expectation for the ensemble to begin. From measure 32, the real ensemble playing begins. Although we don't know what Bach imagined when he wrote this introduction, I now hear it as a conversation, even when listening to the original organ version. In the Adagio viola part, the continuo notes are marked in black, and the notes that create harmony are marked in blue. Players who can control the volume balance of double stops should balance it so that the continuo flows naturally. Players who are not skilled in playing double stops, it might be better to omit the blue notes in difficult sections. If omitted, the section might feel empty, but with careful playing before and after, it could still sound natural.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1041503 Composed by Gabrielle Felicita Chen. Contest,Festival,Folk,Holiday,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Score. 9 pages. Gabrielle Felicita Chen #646246. Published by Gabrielle Felicita Chen (A0.1041503). “L’amore di Kebo Iwa†simply means ‘the Love of Kebo Iwa’ , which is inspired from Indonesian Balinese folk music. It is usually played by the instruments called Gamelan. Bali is an island in Indonesia rich with cultural traditions that are very much rooted in myths and legends. After understanding deeper of the legend of “Kebo Iwaâ€, I was so drawn to the character and the plot that I decided to tell the story in my piano composition. I was able to use different kinds of musical techniques to express different moods. One of them is to apply the Pentatonic ‘Balinese Pelog’ Scale in B flat Major, which represents the majority of the Gamelan sound that is usually transcribed into Western notations. Below is the synopsis the “L’amore di Kebo Iwaâ€. A Once upon a time, in Bali, there was a husband and a wife who dearly wanted to have a baby. They prayed to God for a very long time. Finally, God heard their prayers and blessed them with a baby boy. But there was something special about this baby boy: he was very big- a giant baby. They named him Kebo Iwa. Kebo Iwa grew up with a good heart and became a gentleman. He was a kind hearted giant; he protected the village dearly. One day, the King of Majapahit from Java wanted to conquer Bali. He had heard about Kebo Iwa and knew that his army would lose to Kebo Iwa. B Therefore, the King of Majapahit tricked Kebo Iwa. He invited Kebo Iwa to Java island, promising that he would arrange a wedding for Kebo Iwa to marry his daughter, the beautiful Majapahit princess. Kebo Iwa was so in love with the princess, so he happily travelled to Java island. C After he arrived in Java, the King of Majapahit asked a favour from Kebo Iwa to dig a well, with the reason for it being the dry season. Kebo Iwa then sincerely gave some help and started digging a big, giant well. D However, the King Majapahit never meant to deliver his promise to Kebo Iwa. Instead, the King Majapahit commanded the troops to cover the well with mud and boulders. But when Kebo Iwa realized, it was too late. He was already in the position that was far too deep below - at the bottom of the well. Kebo Iwa then cried loudly and sadly with a broken heart until his last breath. He was buried alive. Soon after that, the Majapahit troops attacked and conquered Bali. E At last, the well was covered and grew a hill of flowers. To this day, the Bali villagers still remember Kebo Iwa as their hero. To honor him, they erected a giant statue of Kebo Iwa in Gianyar, Bali, as a memorial.

Movement one begins with the 2 hands of the pianist playing in different key signatures.♫ The first movement of Ruth summarizes Ruth’s story of coming to faith and her loyalty and kindness to Naomi. The second movement dramatizes Ruth’s devotion to Naomi and the love story of Ruth and Boaz that results from it.♫ Ruth and Boaz’ great grandson, David, used the phrase ‘valley of the shadow of death’ in Psalm 23. This phrase was the key emotive idea behind the movement. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1323137 Composed by Dom Waldock. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Film/TV. Score. 2 pages. Dominic Waldock #911404. Published by Dominic Waldock (A0.1323137). DEATH for solo piano, by Dom Waldock. This piano piece is directly inspired by Terry Pratchett’s depiction of the character Death from his fantasy Discworld novels. He is portrayed visually in a similar way to many other personifications in literature: as a skeleton in a hood and cloak carrying a scythe. His personality, however, is more comical and he has a particular fascination with humanity. Within this composition we hear the introduction of Death with the sound of “funeral bellsâ€, replicated by long and slow notes low in the piano’s range. The harmony is dissonant and unnerving as the supernatural being strolls through his realm. The music soon takes a turn to a mid-register melody to represent the mortal world and the death of a loved one, embellished with high-pitched arpeggios to suggest the approach of something magical. Eventually Death’s chimes and the mortal being meet and their themes are intertwined, as the reaper leads them out of this world and into the next. They fade off into the distance and all we are left with is the lonesome ring of the funeral bells.

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Organ,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1028814 Composed by Anthony Just. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred,Wedding. Score and parts. 2 pages. Justified Notes Music Group #4296771. Published by Justified Notes Music Group (A0.1028814). This piece for C-Trumpet and Organ was written as a Wedding Processional for the Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville, KY, and first performed by the Cathedral's organist, Dr. Philip Brisson. It has since been added to the Cathedral's regular rotation of Mass processionals. Quod Deus Coniunxit is the first line of the verse Therefore what God has joined together, let no man put asunder. The piece shows two people as two voices (in this case, trumpet and organ) interweaving harmonies, passing the melody between them, symbolizing the joyful collaboration and triumphant celebration in two people becoming one. As the trumpet fades out in section D, the minor, discordant organ melody symbolizes difficulties and hard work. The symbolism continues as the trumpet fades back in, supporting the organ, ushering the melody back to a major chord in section E, as they work together towards a triumphant finish.Since this piece was composed as a processional for specific location, the length was written to fit the bride's 75 step procession. But it was deliberately written in sections to be flexible. The piece can (and should) be altered to fit the venue.  The trumpet flourish in A, meant as a call to attention, can be omitted if desired.  Section B can be repeated, and/or Section E can be omitted or repeated, to suit the necessary length.I hope you enjoy this piece!Anthony Just
