Soprano Saxophone Duet Soprano Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.592433 Composed by David McKeown. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Halloween,Standards. Score. 5 pages. David McKeown #6359337. Published by David McKeown (A0.592433). Wendy the Wonky Witch is a spooky and original duet written by David McKeown for two Soprano Saxophones. Wendy the Wonky Witch is one in a series of ten Halloween-themed duets each presenting a portrait of a different Halloween character. All ten can be bought together in one collection by searching for 10 Spooky Halloween Duets for Soprano Saxophone.Wendy tries her best, but she’s a bit of a failure at witching. She developed a fear of flying after her broomstick started chasing seagulls, and her tadpole stew, (which tastes of chocolate cake), explodes if left overnight.Wendy the Wonky Witch is suitable for players at an advanced intermediate level and above. The main melody in 6/8 is medium fast with chromatic passages, while the slower middle section is a lyrical waltz. The range is accessible for both players. With a playing-time of around three minutes, Wendy the Wonky Witch is a perfect spooky addition to any performance program, formal or informal. Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.594323 Composed by Ernst Anschütz. Arranged by David McKeown. Christmas,Jazz,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6574691. Published by David McKeown (A0.594323). O Christmas Tree, (O Tannenbaum), is a much-loved Christmas song. This version is arranged as a duet in a Jazz Waltz/Swing style for one Trumpet and one Alto Saxophone.  Click on the YouTube link above to listen to a full length performance of this arrangement played on Clarinet. The melody of O Christmas Tree is Polish in origin and dates back to the sixteenth century. The lyrics we know and love were added much later by German composer Ernst Anschütz in 1824. The lyrics were originally a homage to the fir tree, using the evergreen foliage as a metaphor for constancy and loyalty. The association with Christmas appeared later in the nineteenth century. With a performance time of three minutes and a half minutes, this version of O Christmas Tree is perfect for seasonal celebrations and concert performances, both formal and informal. The jazz waltz style is a fun and fresh take on this familiar traditional tune.O Christmas Tree is arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. Rhythms are syncopated, as one would expect in jazz waltz music, and there is plenty of articulation detail to help deliver an authentic style. While the key is straightforward, there are several busy passages to keep players on their toes. The melody is played four times, the last in 4/4 time with a short coda. This arrangement is suitable for players at an intermediate level. This selection, the world-famous Hallelujah Chorus from George Frideric Handel's great masterpiece, Messiah, has been arranged for a Saxophone Quintet, consisting of 2 Alto Saxophones, 2 Tenor Saxophones and 1 Baritione Saxophone, by Regis Bookshar. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement will entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come. It is suitable for high school and college students and is perfect for Christmas concerts and church services, especially Easter, but could be performed for any festive occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (22 pages). Handel's original composition is written in the key of Concert D but this version is written in Concert Bb, to make it a little easier for some younger performers. Other versions of this selection, in both the keys of Concert Bb and Concert D, are also available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. If you are planning to have an organist or other keyboard player play along with this selection, I would suggest that you purchase a version in Concert D. B-Flat Bass Clarinet,B-Flat Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1330458 By Budapest Scoring Clarinet Ensemble. By Josquin des Prez. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. Renaissance. Full Performance. Duration 115. David Warin Solomons #918326. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1330458). There is a theory that El grillo refers to Carlo Frillo, a singer who worked for the same patron as Josquin, Cardinal Galeazzo Sforza, and that it was intended to remind the prelate that his musicians’ salaries were overdue. The Sforzas were apparently notoriously mean to their employees, in spite of (or possibly because of) the fact that one of them was happy to pay a large sum of money for a parrot that could recite the Creed. Certainly the words of this little piece, with their reference to the cricket who sings for love, seem to have a good deal more impact in this sardonic light. Although the piece is similar in form to many other frottole, it is really quite unlike most such works, especially the way the repeated notes are used for comic effect.  In this instrumental arrangement I have add several decorations and divisions, to illustrate the words behind it, and also just for fun. The cricket is a good singerand he sings for a long timeGive him a drink so he can go on singingBut he doesn't do what the other birds doWho after singing a littleJust go elsewhere.  The cricket is always steadfastWhen the weather is hottest,    then he sings just for lovePerformed by The Budapest Scoring Clarinet Ensemble.
