Clarinet Duet Bass Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1208435 Composed by Marin Marais. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Baroque,Christmas. 2 scores. 10 pages. RayThompsonMusic #806545. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1208435). Arranged clarinet duet (clt/bass clt  with alt clt for bass clt)The French composer Marin Marais composed the tune as a dance for his opera Alcyone of 1706, with the title Marche pour les Matelots. The tune was subsequently included in Raoul Auger Feuillet's 1706 Recueil de contredansealong with a longways proper dance, La Matelotte, which Feuillet had himself written to go with the tune.In 1710 John Essex (d. 1744) published an English translation of Feuillet's work called, For the Further Improvement of Dancing, in which the dance is given as The Female Saylor. The words were written around 1860 while William Morris, then 26, was working as an apprentice in the office of the architect, Edmund Street, presumably under the persuasion of his fellow students who at that time had a taste for part-song. It became known as the Christmas Carol Masters in This Hall (alternative title: Nowell, Sing We Clear) Gustav Holst incorporated the carol into his work Three Carols (1916–17) along with Christmas Song: On this Day and I Saw Three Ships. Holst wrote the Three Carols for amateurs singing in his Thaxted festivals.I have arranged the March and 3 of the Sailor's Airs from the opera for clarinet duet, The march is then reprised to complete the arrangement.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1403603 Composed by Bedrich Smetana. Arranged by Zellev. 19th Century,Classical,Historic,Multicultural,World. Score. 3 pages. Zellev Music #986782. Published by Zellev Music (A0.1403603). Key Signature: A MinorTime Signature: 2/4Tempo: ModeratoDifficulty: IntermediateBedřich Smetana (2 March 1824 – 12 May 1884) was a Czech composer who pioneered the development of a musical style that became closely identified with his people's aspirations to a cultural and political revival. He has been regarded in his homeland as the father of Czech music. Internationally he is best known for his 1866 opera The Bartered Bride and for the symphonic cycle Má vlast (My Fatherland), which portrays the history, legends and landscape of the composer's native Bohemia. It contains the famous symphonic poem Vltava, also popularly known by its German name Die Moldau (in English, The Moldau). All but a handful of Smetana's compositions before his departure for Gothenburg are piano works. Some of these early pieces have been dismissed by music historian Harold Schonberg as bombastic virtuoso rhetoric derived from Liszt. Under Proksch, however, Smetana acquired more polish, as revealed in works such as the G minor Sonata of 1846 and the E-flat Polka of the same year. The set of Six Characteristic Pieces of 1848 was dedicated to Liszt, who described it as the most outstanding, finely felt and finely finished pieces that have recently come to my note. In this period Smetana planned a cycle of so-called album leaves, short pieces in every major and minor key, after the manner of Chopin's Preludes. The project became somewhat disorganised; in the pieces completed, some keys are repeated while others are unrepresented. After Smetana's final return from Gothenburg, when he committed himself primarily to the development of Czech opera, he wrote nothing for the piano for 13 years.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed%C5%99ich_Smetana].

Sneakwood Editions #4782287. Published by Sneakwood Editions (A0.890770). The Sonata for violin and continuo in G Major RV 25 by Antonio Lucio Vivaldi is not just a work that demonstrates the originality and quality of the compositional art of Il Prete Rosso. It is also a valuable exponent of the bond that formed between the Venetian and the young Pisendel. The dedication to Pisendel at the start of the autograph is written by Vivaldi himself, Suonata à Solo fatto p[er] Ma[estro]: Pisendel Del Vivaldi (Sonata written for Master Pisendel by Vivaldi). But not only that. Vivaldi left a space for Pisendel to add a slow movement. The manuscript is practically all written in the hand of Vivaldi, except for the Grave, composed and written by Pisendel. The present edition by Javier Lupiáñez includes:PrefaceEmbellishments for the Grave based on Pisendel embellishments on VivaldiExtra variations for the last Menuetto based on Vivaldi variationswww.snakewoodeditions.com

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1323836 By Santino Cara. By Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Santino Cara. Baroque. Score. 31 pages. Santino Cara #912024. Published by Santino Cara (A0.1323836). Complete score of the Brandenburg Concerto No.6 in B flat major BWV 1051 for Piano solo. Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1721 for two viole da braccio, two viole da gamba, cello, violone and cembalo. Transcribed for Piano in Rome in 2023 by Santino Cara.3 Movements: 1. Alla breve (ma poco allegro), 2. Adagio ma non tanto (E flat major), 3. Allegro (B flat major).Sources and annotations:The six Brandenburg concerts were presented by Bach in 1721 in a collection for Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt and dedicated to him. It is therefore assumed that they were composed before that date. The title in the autograph score shows the instrumentation for 2 violas to braccio (normal violas), 2 violas da gamba, cello, violone and harpsichord, the absence of violins is unusual. We also add that the second movement in E flat major ends with an imperfect cadence in G minor.Other piano works by Bach and baroque and classical composers

Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802607 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Contemporary. Score and parts. 4 pages. Peet du Toit #5982425. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802607). The Nocturne No. 20 in C- sharp minor, Op. posth., Lento con gran expressione, P 1, No. 1, No. 16, KKIVa/16, is a solo piano piece composed by Frédéric Chopin in 1830 and published in 1870.Chopin dedicated this work to his older sister Ludwika Chopin, with the statement: To my sister Ludwika as an exercise before beginning the study of my second Concerto. First published 21 years after the composer's death, the piece is usually referred to as Lento con gran espressione, from its tempo marking. It is sometimes also called Reminiscence. The piece was played by Holocaust survivor Natalia Karp for the Nazi concentration camp commandant Amon Goeth, with Goeth being so impressed with the rendition that he spared Karp's life. This was also the piece played by Holocaust survivor and famed Polish pianist WÅ‚adysÅ‚aw Szpilman (the central figure of the 2002 Roman Polanski film The Pianist) during the last live broadcast of Polish radio on September 23, 1939 when Warsaw was besieged by the German army. Years later Szpilman also played this piece for German army officer Wilm Hosenfeld upon their first meeting, though in the corresponding film scene Szpilman plays an abridged version of Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23. Hosenfeld later helped Szpilman hide and provided food to him in the last months of the war. It's been many years I've been inspired by this music after seeing violinist Midori (at age 12) having performed this (watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw0UH1UXJVg ). So, here is my attempt for a string duo. Enjoy!

Seeing that his ploy has not worked, he has URIAH and some of his men over to the palace for drinks [Pour Me Another One – Troops, Uriah and David]. Getting URIAH drunk, DAVID has him escorted home, but as before he sleeps outside. A fabricated fantasia, the story of the ballet was inspirited by the famous artist, maestro Chang Shu-hong, who dedicated his whole life to Dunhuang. One of the Huang An-lun‘s major compositions with the play written by Xu Qing-dong, the score of “Dream of Dunhuang†was completed in mid-1979.
