Piano,Vocal,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.955894 Composed by Traditional 16th century English folksong. Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. Christmas,Contemporary. Score. 9 pages. Scott S. Stewart #6856893. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.955894). What Child Is This? is a ‘Christmas carol’ with lyrics written by William Chatterton Dix in 1865, set to the tune of the traditional English folk song ‘Greensleeves’.  The lyrics are taken from his poem The Manger Throne.  The song What Child Is This? was first published in 1871 in Christmas Carols Old and New.  The tune ‘Greensleeves’ association with the festive season can be dated back to 1642; also Shakespeare refers to this popular tune twice in his famous play Merry Wives of Windsor.  This arrangement is scored for solo voice with piano accompaniment.  Performance time: 3:12. It is arranged with the awe and wonder (and perhaps confusion) the townspeople and shepherds experienced with the birth of ‘this child.’

Drum Set,Electric Bass Guitar,Electric Guitar,Piano Accompaniment,Synthesizer - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1105120 By David Kai. By David Kai. Arranged by David Kai. Christian,Contemporary,Folk,Rock. Full Performance. Duration 215. David Kai #708367. Published by David Kai (A0.1105120). This fun song was written when heart transplants were fairly new and still in the news. The song depicts the healing ministry of Jesus brought into modern times. Since people like to put music into categories, the style could be roughly described as being country/bluegrass/synth-driven/gospel pop, which might make it pretty unique! The song was first recorded by the Christian rock group, Whitestone. The Great Healer words and music by David Kai ©1980 I’ve had a heart transplant with a bit of a difference, it may seem rather odd No scalpel, no surgeon, no anesthetic, just between me and God And now a new life beats inside of me, it’s more than mere words can describe My heart keeps time to the rhythm of the Spirit inside Well I went fishing for the truth to life, but I opened up a can of worms False religions and philosophies, misleading me at every turn Well I soon realized that knowledge is fine, but it’s really just a place to start ‘Cause you can change your mind but it’s God that has to change your heart Chorus: Yes, he’s the great healer, in a world of pain and strife He’s the great healer, and he can mend a broken life And though your hurts be too much to bear He can heal your wounds with his loving care And give you a new life that will never die So if you feel that you’ve lost all your reason to live Good and bad look the same And you’re walking around more dead than alive Life clotting up in your veins Just end your confusion, accept a transfusion of love from the heavenly Lord And to your surprise you’ll find that you have been restored Chorus:.

Solo Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1171119 Composed by Scott Joplin. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 20th Century,Barbershop,Blues,Folk,Ragtime. Individual part. 2 pages. Brian Streckfus #771449. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1171119). 1. 2 page arrangement for guitar. I'm sorry to say this is not the full version, but a 16 page version is long winded for my purposes.2. Guitar Tab added. 3. Slurs and slides added. 4. Re-harmonized to be idiomatic for guitar, be less cliche,  and to emphasize the main melody more. 5. Some composers indications added when really necessary.  6. Left hand fingerings added.7. Chord nomenclature added.8. Overly excessive ties removed.9. Some octaves changes to better suit guitar.Tips:1. Be very careful of the difference between slurs and ties! Sometimes I don't show slurs on the tab, but this time I had to.2. The rests are real and they are suggested because they lead to a jazzier rag time sound. I feel like it goes without saying that sustain is ultimately up to the performer, which is why I removed a lot of pedantic ties; they seem to add confusion half the time. 3. The D7 is a slight key change because it has an F# in the chord. It's a secodary dominace chord, V7/V, and often a vii7b5 can replace it. In other words, the F# goes gravitates into the next chord, a G Major chord.4. G6 is really just the 3 thinnest strings of the guitar open. It's a great transition chord.5. The D# is part of the C major blues scale.6. Adding more 7th chords than originally there is almost always an interesting pursuit. Going from G to G7 can certainly aid in helping things sound more goofy.

The sound sample is an electronic preview. ===== Belovèd art, in dark times when I wander When all life's wild confusion gathers round You light my heart with love and warmth so tender And rouse me with your wondrous heav'nly sound And rouse me with your heav'nly sound And from your harp a chord of sweetness leads me A holy sigh from greatest heaven above and with the hope of better times feeds me Belovèd art, 'tis you, 'tis you I love Belovèd art, 'tis you I love (singing translation by David Warin Solomons (c) 2015).

Violin Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.923945 Composed by James Watson. 20th Century. 6 pages. James Watson #3046553. Published by James Watson (A0.923945). This is a three movement pantonal work for unaccompanied solo violin.  Each movement has it's own personality and character.  The first begins freely and expressively in the beginning and builds momentum to a somewhat sporadic series of various motivic manipulations, ending in an aggressive, accelerating repetition of the motif, which can be heard in various places of the following two movements.  The second movement, somewhat more quirky, is meant to provoke a sense of temporary confusion and disorientation.  The pizzicato open G in the first few measures is the disorienting element, interrupting the melody every few beats.  The rest of the piece gradually becomes more and more playful before slowing down as if unsure what lies ahead. The third movement is the shortest of the three.  It begins very eerily and slightly chilling with a downward glissando on artificial and natural harmonics.  It almost seems as if a character in a story is lost in an unfamiliar place, trying to find the way home.  As the movement progresses, it builds in expression and intensity the way a light in the distance becomes closer as one walks closer to it.  From this climax, to the end, it becomes gradually softer and slower, mimicking the burning embers of a dying fire, reminiscing of warmth and comfort.

Concert Band - Digital Download SKU: A0.1012109 Composed by Jannes Jacobs. Contemporary. Score and parts. 359 pages. Jannes Jacobs #3569171. Published by Jannes Jacobs (A0.1012109). Medioevo is a Composition based on impressions from the dark ages. The composer wrote the piece to take you on a journey through this remarkable period of time.Part 1: The Promised Beginning Land Of Departurethe part opens with a decisive rhythm in the lower brass, woodwind and percussion section. The theme played by the woodwinds is written to give the listeners a middle eastern feeling. This represents the crusades. The higher brass section play a nice and static counter theme.Part 2: Enchanted DominionThis section a bit mysterious and magic, played by mallets and flutes. The theme from the Oboe represents the ghost of a warlock trapped on the dominion. As we pas trough the dominion we need the protection of the church represented by the Harpsichord (clavecimbel) and clarinets.Part 3: The rustling ForestsAfter leaving the Enchanted Dominion we gallop with our horse trough the Rustling Forests. These forest show fast winds and have a lyric theme played by the trumpets and saxesPart 4: The SquareOnce trough the Forests we get to the Village square where the market is on going. We have several sales men selling their goods. These are represented in the themes of the woodwinds. The confusion gets to much and we try to hide from the sales men. The trumpets represent this part in a piano 5/4 movement which bring a big contrast trough the noises from the market place. In the end we need to get through the market place so we find a way to keep the sales men away by playing a wonderful legato melody which the dwarf’s taught us.Part 5: Dwarf’sThese social and kind people have a little village outside of the town where joyful melodies sound from both children as adults and elderly dwarf’s. the themes are divided under the different solo players of the woodwind sections.Part 6: Run or HideAfter a nice time with the Dwarf’s we continue our path but soon we face a large army coming our way. What do we do Run or Hide? This part is full of different melodies and counter melodies to represent the indecisiveness of the Dark Ages.Part 7: NeverlandWe arrive in the land of the elves where the tenor sax and horns play an agitato atmosphere to represent our hart beat when we see these beautiful creatures. The themes from the flutes and euphoniums show the grace and beauty of the elves. While the harp creates an elf like atmosphere.Part 8 The castle Gardenswe arrive in the castle gardens. These gardens are the most beautiful in the whole land. It makes the orchestra say Ahh. While the percussion section gives it a magical feeling. After being amassed we soon find out that these gardens are made for the Authorities and paid by our tax money which gives us a double feeling. Should this money not be better spend on good music?Part 9 Black Powderafter we find out the castle lord wrongly used or tax money we go and find some black powder to blow him up. After being hunted down by the castle lord trying to get some black powder. We find ourselves in the glorious fight.Part 10: Rageour glorious fight with the castle lord continues into an enormous climax where we are stroke down and ends up with a one way ticket to the graveyard.Part 11: The GraveyardThe whole orchestra sings a spiritual song to guide us into the afterlives. An angle comes to collect our soul (represented by the piccolo flute). And slowly or name is forgotten.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495481 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Damien Gauci #1071998. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1495481). Whiskers now begins on his curious adventure into the unknown. He begins carefully stepping through the forest with caution into unfamiliar territory, his ear pricked to listen out for any sounds that might be someone or something else. As he makes his way through the forest looking for something to explore, the wind begins to pick up. The trees move in the wind and the leaves rustle and fly around Whiskers which causes him to panic. As the piece moves to a more active section with the use of semiquavers, Whiskers begins to run further into the forest, losing his sense of direction from the confusion caused by the wind and all the leaves about. Whiskers frantically tries to find his way back home but the wind grows stronger blowing more leaves around which makes it even harder to see where he’s going.Eventually the leaves settle back on the ground as the wind dies down and comes to a rest. Whiskers has stumbled across something he has never seen before in this forest, a house. It looks abandoned and like someone used to live there many decades ago. He stops in his tracks to take a good long look at the mysterious looking house that towers before him.

Handbell - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1049642 Composed by Thomas Haynes Bayly. Arranged by John Wernega. Folk,Instructional,Traditional. Score. 1 pages. John Wernega #654022. Published by John Wernega (A0.1049642). Here is an opportunity for your young ringers to play an arrangement completely written on treble clef! There are two distinct, independent contrapuntal lines, depicted with stems-up and stems-down. This is great for inexperienced young ringers because they are playing harmonies without all the confusion of finding their notes on the page. I premiered this arrangement with my third grade bell choir, so this is tried and tested. Your young ringers will really enjoy the experience of playing this arrangement.
