Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495038 By Cream. By Eric Clapton and George Harrison. Arranged by Marcelo Borba. Blues,Folk,Jazz,Rock,Standards. Chords/Lyrics. 19 pages. Marcelo Borba #1071601. Published by Marcelo Borba (A0.1495038). Voice (singer) + Guitar Tablature + Bass Tablature. general and individual scores. FULL transcribed guitar solo and bass. The song Badge is a famous track that emerged from a collaboration between George Harrison of The Beatles and Eric Clapton, one of the most renowned guitarists in rock. This song is part of the album *Goodbye* (1969) by the band Cream, which Clapton was a member of, along with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. The story behind Badge is interesting and reflects the close friendship between Harrison and Clapton at the time.### Collaboration and CreationGeorge Harrison and Eric Clapton were great friends, and this friendship resulted in several musical collaborations over the years. Badge was written during a session where both were together. Harrison wrote the main part of the song, while Clapton contributed the characteristic guitar riff and melody.### The Title BadgeThe story of the song's title is curious. According to reports, Harrison wrote the word Bridge in the draft of the song to indicate a transition part. Clapton, reading the draft, mistakenly interpreted the word as Badge. They found the confusion amusing and decided to keep Badge as the official title of the song.### Ringo Starr's ContributionRingo Starr, drummer of The Beatles, also participated in the creation of Badge. He contributed a line of lyrics that says, I told you not to wander around in the dark. Starr's involvement in the creation of the song is further proof of the frequent interactions between The Beatles members and Clapton.### Release and ReceptionBadge was released as part of Cream's *Goodbye* album and became one of the album's most memorable songs. Although it was a collaboration, the song is generally credited to Clapton and Harrison. The song is known for its iconic guitar riff and the blend of rock and blues elements. This collaboration between George Harrison and Eric Clapton is an example of how friendship and mutual respect between musicians can result in unique and enduring creations. Badge is a song that is still appreciated by fans of classic rock and highlights the genius of the artists involved.

Concert Band Alto Saxophone,Bass Clarinet,Bassoon,Drum Set,Flute,Horn,Oboe,Piano and Keyboard,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Interactive Download SKU: A0.509074 Composed by J. Randolph Hall. This edition: Interactive Download. Classical,Holiday,Standards,World. Score and parts. 40 pages. Duration 158. Published by J. Randolph Hall (A0.509074). Twenty years ago, an evil terrorist act was committed. The twin Towers in New York were destroyed by planes. The Pentagon was attacked. A fourth plane crashed in Pennsylvania. Feelings of shock, grief, horror, confusion, and anger followed in the wake of this senseless destruction. Fire fighters, police, and members of our Armed Services stepped up with great resolve to act as heroes in response to the attacks. Section A begins with the hum of airplanes followed by the for attacks. Section B expresses the various emotions people felt that day. After this section vents a feeling of national rage, it changes to a feeling of militaristic resolve as our troops go off to fight those responsible for the attacks. Section C borrows an American tune from the Civil War and WW1. Every heart is in the fight for the cause of truth and right, And the freedom of our own beloved land. Many people may know it as Jesus loves the little children. The parts not marked in red are meant to be sung in unison. In measure 45, the flutes and oboes play a decant over the melody. Three measures from the end, the band lands on a deceptive cadence followed by the rest of the measures going to the tonic.

The third begins contemplative, then revisits the first and second riddles before ending in a devil-may-care manner.

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Piano,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.982245 Composed by Nathan Iskandar. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 22 pages. Nathan Iskandar #6245003. Published by Nathan Iskandar (A0.982245). Love? (2016) is a piece written under the inspiration of the composer’s past love encounter which ended in a deflected expectation. The main theme generally conceives the idea of loneliness, confusion, and hesitation to the extent that such feelings were too overwhelming to bear-a deceiving sweetness, clothed in such beauty where everything became sour and bitter. Yet upon the climax of the piece, the composer found hope in the Creator of all.

String Trio Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1488231 Composed by William Shield. Arranged by Robert Hoskins. Classical. 23 pages. Artaria Editions #1065118. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1488231). Shield's Trios, written for a continental audience, are seminal works in the composer's output and mark a new level of compositional attainment in the English chamber music repertory. Technically, they contain a wide variety of ideas which are developed with great ingenuity through a wide range of keys, dynamic contrasts and timbral effects. Aesthetically, they blend 'popular' and 'learned' taste along with 'orchestral' splendour and 18th century notions of beauty. The Trios present a dazzling range of moods and style with each work demonstrating Shield's mastery of the idiom, both in his treatment of individual instruments and in the handling of textures. While there is no shortage of melody and accompaniment, in which the violin takes the lead, there are many memorable solos for the viola and the cello in its high register. The wide range of textures includes melodic decoration, dialogue, contrast of high and low register, legato and staccato, powerful unison and double octaves. Shield's ability to incorporate arioso-like melody, the prevailing 'symphonic' style and folk elements was largely achieved through the cross-generic requirements of English comic opera (a form to which Shield devoted himself during the whole of his creative career). In general, Shield's technique results in a firm control of the way music moves - with sometimes a surprising degree of stylistic restlessness and sometimes of unexpected plainness and simplicity. The trios Shield selected for publication were issued by Longman and Broderip, London, in January 1796 under the inspection of the composer. No autograph of these works survives and Longman and Broderip's printing, a copy of which is preserved in the Bodleian Library, Oxford, under the call number Mus.Instr.I 214(15), is the only source of this edition. The title page, with its dedicatory inscription, reads: Six / TRIOS / FOR / Violin, Tenor and Violoncello, / Composed / And Inscribed to the Memory of / Jacob More Esqr. / By / Wm. SHIELD./ (Musician in Ordinary to His Majesty) / Entd. At Statn. Shield's three previously unpublished string trios are preserved in autograph score in the British Library under the call number Ms.Add.51015; they provide the only source for this edition. This present edition presents as faithfully as possible the intentions of these sources. The style and notation of articulation and dynamic markings have been standardised throughout and, where missing, markings have been reconstructed from parallel passages. The notation of appoggiature has also been standardised to minimise confusion. Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942429 Composed by Claude Debussy (1862-1918). Arranged by Brock Lupton (1948-). 20th Century. 24 pages. Brock Lupton #6858209. Published by Brock Lupton (A0.942429). Claude Debussy was, by all accounts, totally devoted to his daughter Claude-Emma (affectionately known as Chouchou) The suite Children's Corner (for solo piano) is dedicated to Chouchou. She outlived her father by scarcely a year, succumbing to the diphtheria epidemic of 1919. (with information from Wikipedia). The naming of one or two among Debussy's piano works can raise issues in the light of current trends. These were not an issue during the composer's life, but are unlikely to be ignored today. The word Golliwog may have unwanted implications, but its omission may cause confusion with another of the composer's short piano works known simply as Cakewalk. The cakewalk was a dance developed from the prize walks (dance contests with a cake awarded as the prize) held in the mid-19th century, generally at get-togethers on Black slave plantations before and after emancipation in the Southern United States.... It was originally a processional partner dance danced with comical formality, and may have developed as a subtle mockery of the mannered dances of white slaveholders. Following an exhibition of the cakewalk at the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, the cakewalk was adopted by performers in minstrel shows, where it was danced exclusively by men until the 1890s. At that point, Broadway shows featuring women began to include cakewalks, and grotesque dances became very popular across the country. [Wikipedia] The grotesque aspect of some later cakewalk dance steps may well be heard in the accompaniment to this work: the oboist's endeavors to produce a soft low B-natural (!) will help create this effect.Technically this piece is intermediate, but the range of the bassoon (especially), oboe, and (to a lesser extent) horn parts are an additional challenge for those players.
