Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1489317 Composed by Britt Andrew Burns. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary. 90 pages. Indie Classical Publications #1066176. Published by Indie Classical Publications (A0.1489317). He orchestral version of Curiosity was completed in August, 2024. The work was inspired largely by my infant son, who reminded me when we lose our sense of curiosity in the world, we grow old. This high-energy work contains a simple motive in which all the thematic material is inspired from. A softer, more melodic middle section is lead by a longer theme. The work concludes with the original motive building in intensity until it reaches the climatic ending. Each part is carefully written to give each musician an energetic part, yet also with consideration to the instrument's nature.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534697 Composed by Germaine Tailleferre. 20th Century. Score and parts. 63 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #6245161. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534697). This Concerto, composed in the 60s for the French Radio, was never performed and it was rumoured that Tailleferre, always trusting with her performers, had given the score to a visiting Guitarist from South America in the hopes that it would be performed there. Tailleferre personally considered this work to be on of her strongest and regretted that it was never performed during her lifetime. Her description of the work motivated several musicologists and guitarists to spend many hours searching for the work in music archives and libraries. The missing score was finally located during the Fall of 2003. A musician visiting the French Radio was intrigued however by a new addition to the catalogue and it was quickly confirmed that this was indeed the missing manuscript that so manmusicologists and guitarists had been looking for all of these years. The work is in four movements and is scored for 2011/1000 tymp/harp/celesta/strings and lasts aproximately 17 minutes. The work is more in the style of a concerto grosso than that of a virtuosic concerto, with the guitars frequently used in a solo group with the harp and celesta, which adds a very interesting orchestral colour. The writing is varied, ranging from a medieval cantilène style in the slow movement to free atonal sections in the second Scherzo movement and in the first movement. The work ends in a movement which sounds influenced by South American Popular music. Inspite of this apparent stylistic disparity, the composition remains extremely coherent and shows a great deal of energy and a kind of poetic strangeness. This item is the full score. The parts are on rental from the publisher. A piano reduction and the solo parts are available for sale.

String Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: A0.862525 Composed by Michael Bomier. Baroque,Contemporary,Instructional,Sacred,Standards. Score and parts. 11 pages. Michael Butkus-Bomier #2032899. Published by Michael Butkus-Bomier (A0.862525). The Allemande was a German dance form used in many Baroque Era suites. Its characteristic rhythm was the dotted-eighth-sixteenth figure, which is used throughout this piece. The real substance of this composition is not the dance form, however, but the strict and highly evocative use of the ascending and descending forms of the melodic minor scale. Since this was such a Baroque Era staple, I felt the piece had to use Baroque forms, techniques and structures as well. So, the key is D minor. C and Bb going down, B and C# going up. No accidentals but these were used. D minor is not the happiest of keys, and accordingly the mood here is somber. The orchestral texture is NOT rich and lush, like other pieces in the series, but is thinner and more contrapuntally transparent. There are three internal cadences before the ending sequence. Suspensions, voice leading, and dissonances are all treated in a standard Baroque fashion. Bowings by string pedagogue Lori Sandell Lacey. Running time is approx 3 mins 30 secs.at suggested tempo. The piece could certainly go faster if your group can handle it. Each part is but a single page, for easy management of music in rehearsal and performance. MBB.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1198671 By Bradley Sowash. By Bernard de la Monnoye. Arranged by Bradley Sowash. Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday,Jazz. Score and parts. 92 pages. Bradley Sowash #797749. Published by Bradley Sowash (A0.1198671). Jazz overtones This medley of lesser-known traditional carols Bye Bye Lully Lullay (aka The Coventry Carol) and Patapan begins contemplatively with a dark jazz waltz that builds in intensity to a big ending. The style is reminiscent of movie scores by Lalo Schifrin and Henry Mancini. Various brass mutes and techniques borrowed from jazz ensembles add unusual orchestral colors. Features a brief timpani/flute duo inspired by the lyrics “Willie, bring your little drum; Robin, bring your fife and come.†Also includes an optional improvised jazz piano solo over minor blues changes that can be easily cut if a capable pianist is not available. Chamber Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1314538 By Trevor Denyer. By Heinrich Domnich. Arranged by Trevor Denyer. 19th Century,Classical. 203 pages. Trevor Denyer #903290. Published by Trevor Denyer (A0.1314538). Heinrich Domnich (1767 - 1844) was an accoomplished horn player, teacher, composer and author of an instruction book, his Méthode de Premier et de Second Cor.This piece demonstrates a complete understanding of the possibilities for the instruments and performers of the time. It is both lively in the two outside movements and dramatic in the middle one. The orchestral writing is delightful and varied and the piece deserves to be performed regularly in the future.A piano reduction is available via the excellent disertation by Evan Chancellor, which is well worth reading: https://shareok.org/handle/11244/10503.

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.928012 Composed by Malcolm D Robertson. Contemporary. 171 pages. Mr Malcolm D Robertson #6638445. Published by Mr Malcolm D Robertson (A0.928012). Composed between the 21st July & the 18th October 2021, my 3rd Symphony, at around 34 minutes in duration, is the longest of my three symphonies to date & my most substantial purely orchestral score. The Symphony is in four movements following a fast-slow-fast-slow format. It is a dark probing & at times disturbing score. The Symphony makes much use of the very dark Locrian mode with its prominent diminished 5th (tritone). The 1st movement is angry & driven with a swirling energy. The 2nd movement is a kind of sad processional which builds to protesting battering climax before ending in a sense of resignation. The 3rd movement marked 'with malice' ranges from a sense of waspish humour to downright arrogant brutallity. The slow 4th movement is the longest movement, the opening hinting at two works by Wagner & Holst. The movement has a sense of questioning & searching, perhaps a single word 'why?' sums the movement up & to some extent the Symphony too. Parts are available upon request.
