Nigel Williams #4802405. Published by Nigel Williams (A0.763333). Silent Night, arranged for cello and organ. The familiar Christmas carol melody appears first in the cello, then at measure 31 it appears in the organ while the cello plays an attractive counter-melody creating a rich contrapuntal texture. Approximately three minutes in duration and suitable throughout the Christmas season. The score downloads as a separate one-page cello part and a two-page organ part. The organ writing is on two staves with independent Pedal and is easy intermediate level. Piano,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.763446 Composed by Trad German. Arranged by Nigel Williams. Baroque,Holiday,Sacred. Score and part. 8 pages. Nigel Williams #5743529. Published by Nigel Williams (A0.763446). This well known chorale melody Lasst Uns Erfreuen can also be sung to the text Let All Things Their Creator Bless. In this arrangement for trumpet and organ, the organ is freely composed around the statement of the chorale melody by the trumpet. The organ part is notated on two staves but with an independent pedal part, and much of the writing is in the baroque style. In the middle section the organ also has the chorale in imitation with the trumpet, and the organist is required to have an instrument with at least two manuals and pedals. Ideal as a postlude in any festive service of worship, the performance duration is two and a half minutes. The full score has a separate one page trumpet part attached. Enjoy browsing my many hymn arrangements for trumpet and organ and trumpet duet and organ, all available on SMP.

Trumpet Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.912495 Composed by Thomas R. Schadl. Classical,Contemporary. Individual part. 1 pages. Thomas R. Schadl #3877235. Published by Thomas R. Schadl (A0.912495). Written in two movements for trumpet, horn in F and organ, the work starts with a slower introduction that is written in the key of B major, the dominant key of E major. Moreover, the first movement has imitative passages that are present in all the three instruments. Following the first movement that is written in the 4/4 time, the next movement, composed in the 6/8 time and in E major, is performed gracefully in a style of a pastorale. Like the previous movement, the second part is contrapuntal but it differs in its extensive use of the dialogue between the horn and trumpet. In performing the sonata, there should be balance among the brass instruments and the organ in regard to sound intensity and the speed. The trumpet tends to overpower the horn in passages marked f or louder, and the organist may adjust the registrations to keep the sound from overpowering the other two instruments. If this piece were to be performed in large concert halls or churches, the time that takes air to leave the organ chest to the pipes may be longer. Choice of speed should be rehearsed carefully. The organ registration itself is merely a suggestion and should not be taken too literally due to the design of the organ and the acoustics of the hall or church. Sonata For Trumpet, Horn And Organ is suitable for concert use. This work may be performed at any time of the year, especially Christmas, Post-Easter and general use.

Peet du Toit #988444. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1405391). Organ Grinder's Swing is a song composed by Will Hudson, with lyrics credited to Mitchell Parish and Irving Mills (Mills was the publisher), published in 1936. Hudson based the Organ Grinder's Swing on the nursery rhyme I Love Coffee, I Love Tea.Ella Fitzgerald recorded the song in November 1936 with her Savoy Eight, and recorded it for a second time with the Count Basie Orchestra for her last album with Basie, 1979's A Classy Pair. Other contemporary versions were recorded by Benny Goodman, Django Reinhardt and the Mills Brothers. It was also featured in a 1937 Popeye short Organ Grinder's Swing.Organist Jimmy Smith recorded Organ Grinder's Swing on his 1965 album Organ Grinder Swing. Vibraphonist Milt Jackson recorded it again in 1976 live at the Kosei Nenkin, Tokyo, with Teddy Edwards, Cedar Walton, Ray Brown and Billy Higgins.I have adapted this song for an organ, brass and percussion concert to something light and jazzy and requested my partner in crime, Sam Harrill, to add the percussion part. May you enjoy it with us!

3, 4, or 5 octaves handbells - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: C7.CGB273 Composed by John Ferguson. Christmas. With Organ. Score. 16 pages. Chorister's Guild - Digital #CGB273. Published by Chorister's Guild - Digital (C7.CGB273). UPC: 749193007686.This publication features two contrasting Christmas carol settings for handbells and organ. A serene O Little Town Of Bethlehem (ST.LOUIS)employs the bells in gentle, arpeggiated sonorities as the organ sings the tune, then the bells sing the tune with an organ accompaniment using quiet strings. Good Christian Men, Rejoice (IN DULCI JUBILO) contrasts the joyous pealing of bells with a slower, lyrical middle section. The organ parts are registered for a modest organ, but the creative organist will want to experiment using the additional colors of a larger instrument to heighten the impact of these festive arrangements.

String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533700 Composed by Carson Cooman. Baroque,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 38 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3038895. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533700). Concerto for Portatif Organ and Strings (2006) was commissioned by the HarvardBaroque Chamber Orchestra and its director, Robert Mealy. The work is dedicatedto organist Nancy Granert, for whom the solo part was written. The work wascommissioned in celebration of the von Clemm Chamber Organ at The MemorialChurch, Harvard University, built in 2006 by Klop Organ Builders. As with many of my works, relationships between old and new musical concepts areexplored. In this piece, musical aspects of the Baroque organ concerto tradition(and Baroque style string playing) co-exist with more contemporary musicalelements. In particular, the directness of expression found in many Baroqueconcertante works is present throughout. Musical material is shared between themovements in a motivic fashion. The title of the first movement, Bricolage, is defined as “something made or puttogether using whatever materials happen to be available.†Thus, the musicalmaterial for the movement is of varying characters; these elements are assembledtogether in ways that allow them to comment on and inform each other. Some ofthese musical elements include: a traditional “overture†texture, a Basse deTrompette texture (with an organ reed stop in the left hand) common in FrenchBaroque organ music, and the French keyboard toccata style. The second movement, Elegia, is dark and searching in tone. It begins with arageful roar before quieting down to introduce its basic musical material – a simple“lament†theme in a folk-inflected style. This material is used for further explorations, building to passionate climaxes. Finally, the opening music returns, but this timewith a whisper. The movement winds down to a sad conclusion. After the soul-searching of the second movement, the third movement, Rondeau, issprightly and energetic. The basic material is a set of Baroque and Classical-stylefigurations (with a few American gospel inflections thrown in), firmly grounded in Gmajor. After minor diversions, the original material continues to return and ends thework with unfettered joy. This item is the score only.  The score and complete parts are available for sale as another item.

Horn,Organ,Timpani,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1268716 Composed by John Francis Wade. Arranged by Todd Marchand. Christian,Christmas,Sacred. 25 pages. Con Spirito Music #861244. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1268716). Perhaps the most often-sung processional or recessional hymn at Christmas services, O Come, All Ye Faithful is generally attributed to John Francis Wade (1711-1786), an English Catholic hymn-writer who authored both its Latin text and its tune, known as ADESTE FIDELES from the opening words of the text. Although more than two dozen English translations of Wade's text (c. 1743) by various writers exist, the 1841 translation by English Catholic priest Frederick Oakeley (1802-1880) is the most commonly used.In addition to the four verses-with-refrain in Wade's text and Oakeley's translation, other hymn-writers penned additional stanzas, and it is not uncommon to hear six or seven sung today. This accompaniment for organ, brass quintet, and timpani is based on the four original stanzas as translated by Oakeley, with all but the final verse employing the standard harmonization from The English Hymnal (1906). For performances of more than four verses, it is suggested that the organ-only accompaniment (Verse 1) be repeated/inserted at the discretion of the organist or music director.  Includes full score, parts for organ, Bb tpt. 1, Bb tpt. 2, F horn, tbn, tuba, timpani, and reproducible bulletin insert for voices. ©Copyright 2023 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP).
