With a running time of just over two and a half minutes, this lively piece is sure to please performers and audiences alike. The work was first performed at a concert in Ben’s Theater Jomtien by the Salaya Quartet, a distinguished group of musicians who at the time were section leaders in the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. The first performance of the original oboe version of this work was given by Cooper Wright (oboe); Inga Causa (violin); Dr Danny Keasler (viola) and Martin Szawelski (cello).  Although originally conceived as an encore piece, this lively work will enliven any concert program. It’s written in G major with two bright and rhythmic outer sections and a more reflective middle section that briefly gives the melody to the cello. The oboe part requires an experienced player but it is not especially challenging in terms of range. The cello part remains in the bass clef throughout.
