Score. 3 pages. Marcia L. McKenna #806373. Published by Marcia L. McKenna (A0.1208266). Edelweiss was composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II for the 1959 Broadway musical The Sound of Music.  The song became even more popular after the 1965 film adaptation of this musical.  This arrangement by Marcia L McKenna for SA Choir, Flute and Keyboard starts simply with the SA choir singing in harmony and the flute complimenting the choir with its own embellished melody.  In the middle section the music gains a flowing feeling with eighth note broken chords in the piano and flute parts, followed by a return to a simpler rhythmic pattern leading us gently to the end.  A Piano/Vocal/Guitar version of the score by Marcia L McKenna is also available on Sheet Music Plus.

It was written for their musical Music in the Air (1932) and sung in that show by Tullio Carminati. In the subsequent 1934 film, the song was recorded and filmed but cut from the final release. An instrumental of the song can still be heard under the opening credits. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We added what we think are some pretty cool left-hand fills that we hope you will like! It's a fun song and not too hard to play!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1461639 By Andre Kostelanetz. By Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #1040383. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1461639). I've Told Every Little Star is a 1932 composition by Jerome Kern with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein from the musical Music In the Air. Unfortunately, it suffers from many poor performances, particularly the awful Linda Scott 1961 hatchet job which changed both the melody and words to attract a teenage audience. The tune has a standard 32-bar AABA form. Many of the standard performances (Bing Crosby's, for example) use a simple set of changes in the A sections that stay close to the tonic; these are the original changes (as per the lead sheet in The Ultimate Fake Book). This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills for your listening (playing?) pleasure - we hope you like what we've done to make this arrangement unique!
