Published by Tyne Music (A0.999344). GRACE DARLING: One of my full length family plays in the TYNE ONSTAGE series of original musicals. With Drama, Comedy and Song they offer a new source of material to any Producer, Director or Teacher in the Performing Arts looking for original stories with great songs, covering a wide range of musical styles. GRACE DARLING was known as the ‘Heroine of the Farne Islands’ off the Northumberland coast where she lived with her family in the Longstone Lighthouse. She became a household name when in 1838 along with ther father William Darling rowed out in a North Sea gale to rescue 9 passengers from the capsized paddle steamer Forfarshire. Honoured by royalty, her fame was short-lived as she died of Tuberculosis in 1842 aged only 27. This musical is based partly on her life which I’ve interwoven with a love story. This album includes the Piano & Vocal Score along with the full Libretto. For full information please see my website:- https://www.tynemusic.com/grace-darlingP.S. Sorry, but there are no band parts or orchestral scores as the costs involved would have made these musicals too expensive. Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.947278 Composed by John Philips. Jazz. Score and parts. 18 pages. John Philips Music Service #3867729. Published by John Philips Music Service (A0.947278). This is an alto sax feature ballad. The melody is full and rich and could make you think of Johnny Hodges. First bridge is alto 1 & 2 in unison...with solo alto out front and alto 2 in section it gets a nice echo effect--Last 8 back to alto 1 solo. First half of second chorus has a band within a band over background. Solo part has a few notes past an eighth.Last bridge trombones then alto solo last 8. Ending is very dramatic with some interesting alto work..the very last note is held over the band....like Harlem Nocturne. Not too fast.Don’t let the last note scare you, look at your fingering chart or play it 8va lower. If you want a Maynard or Buddy chart, look elsewhere. This series of charts uses nothing more complicated than eighth notes, are not frantic or screamers, extreme ranges and are hemi-demi-semi-quaver free. They depend on intonation and the players being not intimidated by what he is asked to play. There is no contest to see how high you can go before you need oxygen , how many notes you can play in 9 seconds or before your bell overheats , or how long it takes the audience to cover their earsRelaxed and confident players always play more in tune. Good harmonies, lines and realistic rhythm patterns will produce a good result that will swing and be enjoyed by player and listener alike.

Choir - Digital Download SKU: A0.1059493 Composed by William Shield. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. Classical,Concert,Romantic Period. Full Performance. Duration 129. David Warin Solomons #3388107. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1059493). Performed by the dwsChoraleThis lovely trio is a curiously out of context setting by William Shield of words from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream In Shield's setting the three voices simply admire a beautiful woman, in enticing harmonies - a fine piece of music deservedly part of the repertoire of vocal trios everywhere; but in the play the words form part of a speech of jealousy between childhood friends and the potential end of that friendship The scene in Shakespeare's original: The fairy world - in the form of Puck - has interfered most clumsily with the passions of the human world, with the result that human lovers are confused in their loves: Demetrius, Helena's lover, now loves her friend Hermia, who doesn't love him, and he ignores Helena, who loves him but is already becoming somewhat insecure about the powers of her feminine attraction. Helena is therefore jealous of Hermia's beauty.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1356984 Composed by Fernando Sor. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 19th Century,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 3 pages. Brian Streckfus #941611. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1356984). Pages: 3Key: B minorFeatures:1. Tablature Added2. Blank version for starting from scratch3. Chord Nomenclature added 4. Dynamics added 5. Fingerings Added 6. Slides/Guide fingers added 7. Modern Fonts Tips: 1. Realizing that you are in position two most of the time helps. In the key of B minor, fret 1s aren't supposed to happen as they would be out of key. This piece does have key changes, so some fret 1s do happen.2. Nearly all measures are arpeggios, so it's best to summarize each measure as a chord shape. If you read the music one note at a time, your playing will most likely sound choppy. It is possible to get the entire measure ready on beat one.3. Similiar to the last point, there are a lot of bars in this piece. Realizing when you are barring and not barring will be helpful.4. I try to strategically leave out fingerings. Too many fingerings and the piece look overly intimidating. Often, if I leave out a fingering, it's because it is a counter-intuitive fingering to use, and therefor the student should pencil it in themselves as a strong reminder of a difficult moment. I also leave out fingerings if I strongly sense there are multiple correct ways of playing a passage.

Euphonium - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1110890 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713185. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1110890). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Euphonium Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Euphonium Sextet, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages) written in Treble Clef. There is also a version written in Bass Clef, if you prefer. The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Euphonium Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.
