Trumpet Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.912495 Composed by Thomas R. Schadl. Classical,Contemporary. Individual part. 1 pages. Thomas R. Schadl #3877235. Published by Thomas R. Schadl (A0.912495). Written in two movements for trumpet, horn in F and organ, the work starts with a slower introduction that is written in the key of B major, the dominant key of E major. Moreover, the first movement has imitative passages that are present in all the three instruments. Following the first movement that is written in the 4/4 time, the next movement, composed in the 6/8 time and in E major, is performed gracefully in a style of a pastorale. Like the previous movement, the second part is contrapuntal but it differs in its extensive use of the dialogue between the horn and trumpet. In performing the sonata, there should be balance among the brass instruments and the organ in regard to sound intensity and the speed. The trumpet tends to overpower the horn in passages marked f or louder, and the organist may adjust the registrations to keep the sound from overpowering the other two instruments. If this piece were to be performed in large concert halls or churches, the time that takes air to leave the organ chest to the pipes may be longer. Choice of speed should be rehearsed carefully. The organ registration itself is merely a suggestion and should not be taken too literally due to the design of the organ and the acoustics of the hall or church. Sonata For Trumpet, Horn And Organ is suitable for concert use. This work may be performed at any time of the year, especially Christmas, Post-Easter and general use.

And does my faith reach to his sky? When will He rescue Me? I wonder. When will He rescue me? How will I feel that day? I wonder. What will my future be? Will there be instant rejoicing? Will his love conquer my poverty? Oh, can I depend on his mercy? Will God’s realm of heaven have me? When will He rescue Me? I wonder. When will He rescue me? What will that day be like, I wonder, when Christ will rescue me? When I am ready and waiting, I will fall to my worshipful knees, Then stand by his scarred side in heaven, and thank Him for rescuing me. Christ's love has rescued me, oh wonder! Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565407 By Sharon Wilson. By Lowell Mason. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Jazz,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 2 pages. Sharon Wilson #4320323. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565407). Designed for those times when a short, musical interlude is needed, here is a 2-page, LARGE PRINT piano solo arrangement of the uplifting hymn Heaven Is My Home. In some hymnals, this song is titled I'm But a Stranger Here. This arrangement uses the less common tune known as OAK by Lowell Mason instead of the more familiar tune ST. EDMUND by Arthur Sullivan. This upbeat, syncopated arrangement will peak the interest of the listeners when used as an offertory or postlude. This arrangement is one of the 7 songs in the collection Hymns of Heaven. Each song in this collection was chosen because the lyrics talk about the joys of heaven.  Lyrics by Thomas Rawson Taylor:Verse 1:I'm but a stranger here,Heaven is my home;Earth is a desert drear;Heaven is my home:Danger and sorrow standRound me on every hand;Heaven is my fatherland,Heaven is my home.Verse 2:What though the tempest rage,Heaven is my home;Short is my pilgrimage,Heaven is my home:And time's wild wintry blastSoon shall be overpast;I shall reach home at last,Heaven is my home.Verse 3:There at my Savior's side,Heaven is my home;I shall be glorified,Heaven is my home. There are the good and blest,Those I love most and best; And there I too shall rest,Heaven is my home.Verse 4:Therefore I murmur not,Heaven is my home;Whate'er my earthly lot,Heaven is my home:And I shall surely standThere at my Lord's right hand:Heaven is my fatherland, Heaven is my home.

Small Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.835769 Composed by Paul Burnell. Contemporary. Score and parts. 3 pages. Paul Burnell #3074281. Published by Paul Burnell (A0.835769). A text piece for one or more speakers with optional rhythmic percussion accompaniment performed ad libitum.Where the text is presented in bold the speakers should speak loudly, giving particular emphasis to text in capital letters. Where the text is presented in non-bold smaller text styles the speakers should speak less loudly or softer.   The speakers should vary the pitch of their voice throughout to give emphasis to the structure and to avoid a monotonous tonal delivery.   The repeated ‘words’ instinctively suggest a repetitive rhythmic style of delivery - this is fine.   The spaces in the text can be interpreted as rests. If there is more than one speaker the performers may either speak in unison throughout or stagger their entries and echo or overlap freely, but without losing the sense of the overall structure of the text.  Multiple speakers may also devise co-ordination points within the piece to co-ordinate collective unisons - then drift apart and overlap again.  A single speaker could also perform with an echoing sound effect that gives the impression of multiple voices. If performing with percussion, then a pulsed rhythmic style should be used.  The percussion may be freely chosen - drum kit, ‘found’ instruments, body percussion, pre-recorded backing track etc. - performing in any rhythmic style, but not detracting from or obscuring the vocal delivery. Programme note: ‘Wha-Do-Ya-Mean?’ was composed in 2008.   It was tested as a warm-up exercise for the CoMA London Ensemble, and then developed into a piece, first performed by Paul Burnell at Battersea Arts Centre, London in October 2008 and then included on the 2010 album ‘Sticking with Childish Things’.  It has subsequently been performed by CoMA Singers. The inspiration for the piece was derived from an increasingly fractious and reductive argument between two people, where one person was overheard saying What do you mean ‘what do you mean’?  This statement illustrated the pointlessness of the argument, and how comically ridiculous and meaningless it had become, and effectively ended it.

Cello,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1280306 Composed by Brian Strohmetz. Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. Score and part. 46 pages. Brian Strohmetz #871769. Published by Brian Strohmetz (A0.1280306). Around the Bend is a journey of tranquility, adventure, and discovery down a section of the Monocacy Creek in Bethlehem, PA. The first section of the music that appears throughout the piece is a simple melody that is reminiscent of a simple art song. It represents the river flowing along peacefully on a beautiful day. Occasionally, we come across an area where the water hits a small obstacle that causes the water to change its path and speed. We hear this as violent 16th note interruptions in the music. The river then returns to its natural flow and pace. Further along we encounter a small waterfall area with rapids and obstacles. The music cascades and has a rhythmic drive representing the rapids and the swift moving waters. After we have traversed the rapids, we return to the calm waters of the river as it continuously flows peacefully. The next portion of our journey is inspired by a specific and unique section of the Monocacy, where we find the hidden ivy. Trees surround the creek. When looking into them, at a certain angle, you will find a tree covered in ivy hidden amongst the other trees. When we reach this point in our journey, the music starts off mysteriously as though looking through the trees. When we find the hidden ivy, we are greeted by a majestic melody that reflects this hidden beauty. The piano plays a rising arpeggio repeatedly, reflecting the ivy’s goal to grow higher and closer to the sky. Once we pass the ivy, we return to the peacefully flowing river. We approach a bend in the river that we cannot see beyond. There is a bit of trepidation, but as we start to go around the bend, everything ends peacefully, and we know everything will be fine. The river will keep moving and we will survive. For Cello & Piano.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.836707 Composed by Brian Joyce. Christmas,Contemporary. Score and parts. 67 pages. Brian Joyce #3226073. Published by Brian Joyce (A0.836707). What’s Christmas without a few toys? Here is a new suite of older carols for string quartet in which each musician is required to play a wee bit of percussion in addition to his or her real instrument. The potential for entertaining visual theater is nearly as high as the potential for mishap. (If all goes according to plan, nothing should actually go airborne.)This is something of a sequel to my earlier Christmas quartet And Therefore Be Merry, which has never been out of print since it was first published over twenty years ago. But where that work was a continuous medley, this is a set of independent and more fully developed movements, each able to stand on its own. As mentioned above, each member of the quartet is responsible for a small item of percussion. These are all things which could readily be found in a local school band room: a triangle, a tambourine, a suspended cymbal - played with a soft (yarn) stick - and a small frame drum, played with the bare hand. These are all earlier, earthier carols than what one typically finds on the radio or playing over the speakers at the mall. They include Gloucestershire Wassail, Riu Riu Chiu, Angelus ad Virginem, The Sans Day Carol, The Wexford Carol, and Masters in This Hall. Being perhaps less familiar, they bring a welcome respite from the overworked seasonal fare we all hear a bit too much of each year. They speak of simpler times, and of a far less frantic approach to Christmas. These fresh and inventive arrangements will make a useful addition to a quartet’s repertoire, provided the players have the requisite spirit of adventure. Score and Parts total 67 pages. Performance time is about 14 minutes.
