Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534440). Jean-Grégoire Pénavaire (1840-1906) was born on September 15, 1840 in Lesparre, France and  died in September of 1906. After studies with Sivori, Morel, Elwart, and Fetis, he was the conductor of the Théâtre Graslin de Nantes for most of his career. He wrote several operas including Chanson  de mai and Ninette et Ninon (both Paris, 1873), Le Contrast (ib., 1889), and Monseigneur Scapin [Le Progrhs artistique] (Nantes, 1891) as well as the ballet La Folie espagnole (1874). He wrote  several symphonic works, including the Overtures Torquato Tasso and Miguel Cervantes, a symphonic  poem with chorus La Vision des croisies, works for chamber ensemble and for the piano.

Published by Edition Schwalbe (A0.1489669). The Csárdás is a typical Hungarian dance basing on folk music. But also art music has some famous examples, one of them is this csárdás from the comic  opera Ritter Pásmán (Knight Pásmán) by Johann Strauss jr. Its premiere was on 1 January 1892 at the Vienna Court opera. The arrangement is one half  tone lower than the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Wind Philharmonic  Mozarteum Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their Three Kings' Concert on 6 January 2019 and broadcasted live by Austrian  television.
