Oh Slip It Man, a Trombone Novelty for solo Trombone with Piano accompaniment, by African American composer, trombonist, bandleader and publisher Nathaniel Cleophas Shorty Davis was written in 1916 as a Trombone solo in the American genre of Ragtime featuring the trombone's patented glissando as the hook. These solos were also called smears or jazzes.

Oh Slip It Man is one of five entertaining works from Davis' Trombone Family written between 1915 and 1921 and comes with the subtitle - Trombone Novelty.

This arrangement has been beautifully arranged by Aaron Hettinga for Trombone and Piano. It is playable by moderately advanced performers.

Cherry Classics Music will be publishing the complete series of these works for Trombone and Piano by Davis arranged by Mr. Hettinga.

The Sandman is a piano solo arrangement of the 1912 hit pop song by Carrie Jacobs-Bond, which was originally a ballad for voice and piano.  I use lots of articulation and short phrasing in this arrangement to give it a lively bounce.

This is my song Fire In My Soul that I originally wrote during a spell with depression in 2009. I'm better now, though. This piece is for piano and voice and can be performed anywhere there is a keyboard/piano and microphone. This song has been described by some on YouTube as hauntingly beautiful with an authentic gospel tint to it. This piece scored for voice and piano is about four and a half minutes long and could make for a great recital or concert vocal piece. It has been transposed down to D Minor from E-flat minor for ease of play.
