Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1158189 Composed by Dr. Daniel N. Thrower. 20th Century,Chamber,Classical,Patriotic. 40 pages. Https://gildedmusicpress.com/ #758465. Published by https://gildedmusicpress.com/ (A0.1158189). The majority of the composition is boisterous, upbeat, exciting, and western! Though perhaps overly romanticized, those thrilling impressions are brought to the modern observer in the monuments and tributes all along the Lewis and Clark Trail. Indeed, from the Gateway Arch in Saint Louis to Floyd’s obelisk; from numerous visitors’ centers to historic markers throughout the more than 7000 miles traversed, Lewis and Clark and the others are kept in grateful memory for their inspiring work of opening the gateway to the west. Many working brass quintets throughout the nation joined a consortium of performances for the fall of 2019—particularly near September 23, as that was the date the expedition ended in Saint Louis, Missouri, where it also began. With the images of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in mind, the compositional process occurred quickly, and a draft of the full-length work was printed for a reading with Offutt Brass one week after it was begun. A final product was to be delivered to the consortium members by the end of April for enough time to bring the work to life in the fall. Within the music itself are several hidden meanings which, though imperceptible upon listening, are significant nonetheless. It will be noted that there is little rest for the players. For the span of 4’40â€, out of nearly 1000 measures of collective music, there is a total of 99 complete measures of rest shared between the performers. Throughout the expedition 33 key personnel participated, three of whom famously ring in the ears of all Americans: Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and the well-known Shoshone guide, Sacagawea. To acknowledge the arduous nature of this enormous undertaking, what little rest there is in this composition multiplies the number of explorers with the three most famous names.

String Quartet Cello,Double Bass,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1298789 By Housefires. By Brett Younker, Karl Martin, Kirby Kaple, Matt Redman, and Pat Barrett. Arranged by Brian Buda. Christian,Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Religious,Wedding. 58 pages. Budaful music #888658. Published by budaful music (A0.1298789). This is an intermediate to moderately-advanced level string quartet arrangement of 'Build My Life'. It's a very tender and heartfelt setting that follows the basic structure of the Pat Barrett worship song in a classical style. See the 2nd page for some performance notes on this 'choose your own adventure' arrangement! It's designed to work very well in a wedding prelude but it's also fitting in church services and other performances. The shortened version would work well as an offertory. Keep that bridge going as long as you want with optional added repeats! Available in 2 keys in this 1 chart: G and F.Double Bass part included but it is optional.A compatable piano solo (SMD) version is also available.

Small Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811822 Composed by W. A. MOZART (1756 - 1791). Arranged by Pat Spence. Classical,Concert,Graduation,Holiday,Wedding. Score and parts. 100 pages. Piper Publications #6657067. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811822). The Divertimento, originally for an orchestra (flute, oboe, bassoon, 4 horns and strings) was completed in June 1772 in Salzburg.  It was probably written for an outdoor performance and Mozart certainly made full use of the opportunity to display his remarkable talents both to his prospective patrons and his talented fellow musicians who would have performed this extensive six movement piece. There are six movements, Allegro, a substantial sonata form piece; Adagio, a  sophisticated piece written for strings only; a gem of a Menuetto with three trios; Allegretto; a Menuetto with 2 trios and a final Adagio - Allegro molto - Allegro assai forms the grand finale. The scale and sophistication of this piece is far beyond that of the early symphonies which Mozart composed around the same time. The arrangement is suitable for advanced and advanced intermediate players. In editing and arranging the Divertimento for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn it has been necessary to add phrase marks (shown in dashed lines) and extra staccato dots - not indicated. The lack of dynamic markings especially in the latter movements has been remedied in parentheses ( ). Some octave transpositions both up and down have been necessary and the glory of the four horn sections of the original have been re-scored as sympathetically as I am able.I do hope that quintet players will enjoy this arrangement of a very remarkable piece.

String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Piano,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1390492 By Clean Bandit Feat. Jess Glynne. By Grace Chatto, Jack Patterson, James Napier, and Nicole Marshall. Arranged by Timothy Jaques. Contemporary,Pop,Rock. 41 pages. Timothy Jaques #974019. Published by Timothy Jaques (A0.1390492). This arrangement is a great way to involve a soloist or unison choir with a string orchestra playing pop music. It is a good choice for helpijg to break the stereotypes around string groups. It is also an effective showcase piece, and if you're brave enough to add some choreography, it is bound to leave your audience on the edge of their seats! The arrangement is realatively easy and quick to learn, as it is built around a few core rhythmic patterns. There may be a little more effort for beginners, but it is well within their capabilities, and the key of A Minor has been chosen deliberately to be as accessible as possible to both singers and string players.

Large Ensemble Bass Drum,Drums,Marimba,Multi-Percussion,Snare Drum,Vibraphone,Xylophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.935386 Composed by Dan Heslink. Contemporary. Score and parts. 46 pages. Pharaoh Publications #6058011. Published by Pharaoh Publications (A0.935386). Sinfonietta                                                                                                                  composed by Dan Heslink Sinfonietta is a trio for vibraphone, marimba and percussion (xylophone, snare drum, and bass drum). Its expression is intended to be non-representational, presenting only an interesting technical construction in a suave formal organization. With the title the composer designates a single movement, with length and seriousness of expression approaching a symphonic movement. Its form approximates an expanded version of the classical sonata-allegro, dividing materials into three large sections. Beginning are the two main phrases of the principal theme, which establish patterns that are idiomatic throughout the movement. The first measure’s quartal harmonies divide into rhythms alternating the two hands, the right-hand posing a melody and the left-hand complementing it with harmony and rhythmic repetition. The phrase at measure 7 is a long-breathed melody for vibes accompanied by undulating chords in the marimba. A transition comprising highly qualitative rhythms (stated first by the marimba in m. 20.) has much identity. By measure 41, the transition has grown into a full secondary theme, one that is developed and repeated often throughout the movement. The exposition closes with a theme beginning in measure 51. It is announced by the vibes as another long-breathed melody unfolding over the active rhythm of the second theme. After a gradual dissipation, the development section starts at measure 92 with a new but related theme, heard first in the vibes. It offers a different key and an expressive melody slowly unfolding over rhythmically active harmonies. The remainder of this middle section explores nuances of the secondary and closing themes, and ultimately leads to the movement’s first climax. It eventually dissipates through a gradual reduction of density and tempo.  The Reprise begins vigorously at m. 118 with statements of both the principal theme’s phrases. Then the second theme is transformed by the addition of bass drum strokes, which sets up a codetta. This section comprises a long crescendo on the new theme over a rhythmic tattoo derived from the second theme, and builds to a bold conclusion.  Pedaling on the vibes is indicated with a solid bracket below the connected notes, and half pedaling with a dashed bracket. It is imperative that the percussion part be heard but not dominate. The performer is encouraged to experiment with a piccolo snare drum and 28 bass drum. Sinfonietta would serve equally well in a professional, college or advanced high school percussion recital. The composer assigns a difficulty level of medium difficult. Duration is 8:10. The composer, Dan Heslink, can be contacted at dan@dheslink.com.

Harp - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.976446 Composed by Scott Anthony Shell. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 8 pages. Tikadori Music #2066815. Published by Tikadori Music (A0.976446). For Solo Pedal Harp -- Composed in 2015 -- Approx. duration 7:45 --PROGRAM NOTES:Piece for Harp #1 begins abruptly with an invitation to the listener to take an inner journey into a potentially uncomfortable place. The discomfort dissipates into a more celebratory feel, which leads into the final contemplative mood to end. Compositionally, besides trying to challenge the performer, I am interested in exploring the counterpoint that results from overlapping patterns of different durations, as well as opposing rhythms within these patterns, which can be heard throughout the different sections. The final section of the piece introduces a 3rd contrapuntal layer, which further challenges the performer in that each voice is played on a different part of the string. (Harmonics on top, PDLT or close to the table in the middle, and sustained bass on the bottom.) In combination with the complex rhythmic and metric structure, this is probably the most difficult section, especially when trying to express a calm, contemplative soundscape.
