Trombone Duet Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.588120

By David Cook. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. Score. 5 pages. David McKeown #5303275. Published by David McKeown (A0.588120).

Eleanor Rigby first appeared on the Beatles’ 1966 album, Revolver. There has been much speculation over the identity of Eleanor Rigby, and a gravestone bearing that name has been discovered close to where Paul McCartney grew up in Liverpool. But Paul McCartney insists that he chose the natural-sounding name as a combination of a friend’s name and a shop he noticed in Bristol. Indeed, the original working title of the song was Miss Daisy Hawkins.

This version of Eleanor Rigby is arranged as a duet for two Trombones.  The YouTube sample above is the Clarinet version of this duet.

Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes.

Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and expressive playing.

By Wings. By Linda McCartney and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Louis Drummond. Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 11 pages. Louis Drummond Van Rensburg #689872. Published by Louis Drummond Van Rensburg (A0.1085701).

Live And Let Die is the main theme song of the 1973 James Bond film with the same name, written by Paul and Linda McCartney and performed by Paul's band Wings. It was one of the band's most successful singles, charting at No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 9 on the US Singles Chart. In my Piano Trio arrangement (piano, bass and drums) for intermediate players, the bass and drums and L.H. of the piano support the melody played by the R.H. of the piano. Between the slow and faster Rock feel there is a short Reggae section. Score and parts are available.
