The first two pieces combine traditional hymns with well-known classical themes; the next one is a unique arrangement of a favorite hymn. The Prelude in C Major presents this popular classical piece in an easy to read format using eighth notes instead of the original sixteenth note version. All of the pieces include chord symbols and are notated in either the Key of C Major or A minor. The last piece includes an original melody that I composed for “The Lord’s Prayer� using the Prelude in C Major as the accompaniment, which includes the Cello part as the soloist in the score. He wrote much music for wealthy patrons. A significant amount  of his works are preserved in single line melody and this one is presented with atypical harmonies and original lyrics appropriate for advanced singers who have learned to listen to each other to sing unusual harmonies in tune. The Banks O' Doon (Modern Scots: The Banks o Doon) is a Scots song written by Robert Burns in 1791, sometimes known as Ye Banks and Braes (after the opening line of the third version). Burns set the lyrics to an air called The Caledonian Hunt's Delight. Its melodic schema was also used for Phule Phule Dhole Dhole, a song by Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore.The song was inspired by the story of Margaret (Peggy) Kennedy (1766—95), who was seduced and then abandoned by Andrew McDouall, the son of a wealthy family and sometime Member of Parliament for Wigtonshire. Kennedy sued for a declarator of marriage, but died prior to adjudication of the case. Although the Consistorial court found the marriage claim valid, the Court of Session decided the marriage claim failed, but found McDouall to be the father of Kennedy's daughter and ordered that he pay £3,000 to Kennedy's estate and provide for the child.(Burns wrote a second poem about Peggy, who he had met when she was 18 - Young Peggy Blooms.).

This is the twenty-sixth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all  volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. 'Have You Met Miss Jones?' is a song from the 1937 Broadway musical I'd Rather Be Right, a Depression-era political satire set in New York City about Washington politics and political figures such as President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The plot centres on Peggy Jones and her boyfriend Phil, who needs a raise in order for them to get married; the President ultimately steps in and solves their dilemma. This jazz standard has been covered by many artists over the years, including George Shearing, Anita O'Day, Frank Sinatra, Robbie Williams and Seth MacFarlane - it is also cited as a potential inspriation, in its bridge passage, for saxophonist John Coltrane. This arrangement has been created from the jazz combo version by Michael Philip Mossman and features short solos (with suggested lines and chords) for clarinet, flute, trumpet and alto sax, with drum breaks towards the end.
