By Neil Young. By Neil Young. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Film/TV,Pop,Rock,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 4 pages. Timothy Stapay #788743. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1189123).

This is an arrangement of Heart Of Gold by Neil Young.

Heart of Gold is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young. From his fourth album Harvest, it is Young's only U.S. No. 1 single. In Canada, it reached No. 1 on the RPM national singles chart for the first time on April 8, 1972, on which date Young held the top spot on both the singles and albums charts.  Billboard ranked it as the No. 17 song for 1972.   In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked it No. 297 on their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time, No. 303 in an updated 2010 list, and No. 259 in 2021.

Young has stated that this song, as well as Harvest and Out on the Weekend from the same album, were inspired by his then blossoming love for actress Carrie Snodgress.

Neil Percival Young (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and musician.   Young has received several Grammy and Juno Awards. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted him twice: in 1995 as a solo artist and in 1997 as a member of Buffalo Springfield.[10] In 2000, Rolling Stone named Young No. 34 on their list of the 100 greatest musical artists. (Lyrics Below)

I want to live, I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold
It's these expressions I never give

That keep me searchin' for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keep me searchin' for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

I've been to Hollywood, I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line

That keeps me searchin' for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searchin' for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

Keep me searchin' for a heart of gold
You keep me searchin' and I'm growing old
Keep me searchin' for a heart of gold
I've been a miner for a heart of gold

Composed by Richard Wagner. Arranged by Colin G Dance. 19th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Brass Band. 35 pages. Dance is With Music #995519. Published by Dance is With Music (A0.1413736).

Götterdämmerung is the last in Richard Wagner's cycle of four epic music dramas titled Der Ring des Nibelungen. It received its premiere at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus on 17 August 1876, as part of the first complete performance of the whole work.

It featured at the end of the 1981 John Boorman film 'Excalibur' when Sir Percival reluctantly throws 'Excalibur' to the Lady of the Lake and King Arthur dies.

This arrangement is for brass band - and I have to say, it was rather difficult to make if fit and work properly! I hope you like the final outcome of my endeavours.

By Justin K. Reeve. By Justin K. Reeve. 21st Century,New Age. 6 pages. Justin Kenlon Reeve #993160. Published by Justin Kenlon Reeve (A0.1410764).

An original piano/instrumental song. Somehow it reminds me of the last days of spring, a bittersweet farewell to the end of the early blooms.

Can the rose of summer fade,
The bright and blooming rose?
Shall winter sweep the glade,
Where its tender beauty blows?
There is perfume in the air,
And it steals from the opening flower;
But the winds shall rudely tear
The treasures of field and bower.

They fade, — how soon they fade,
The flowers of earth and sky!
Was all that beauty made,
To smile a moment and die?
O, will not the colors stay,
That glow in the west at even,
And the hues of the rising day
Be ever the charm of heaven?

O, let me not think the flowers
Shall ever be borne away
From the full and loaded bowers,
Where they welcome the early day.
I would not indulge one thought,
That a rose or a cheek could wither;
But believe their colors, caught
From heaven, shall be wafted thither.

– James Gates Percival.
