A Christmas Carol first performed in 2006 and written for school age singers to perform. The instrumental parts can be adapted on request to any combination required. This is a lovely carol on original words in a pastoral style. The instrumentation is unusual and adds to the gentle mood of the piece. At 5 mins in length it is not too taxing on the voices or wind instruments. The first performance took place at Christmas 2006 at Wigan Parish Church, and it was sung by members of the school's senior choir and played by members of the school orchestra. This was originally written as two pieces (and can be purchased thusly at UNCJazzPress.com) but after realizing these two pieces belong 'with' one another, I did just that. I present to you the perfect closing piece to your concert, Prelude 2/Good-bye which can be performed in under 2 minutes and was the featured closing song in a video dedicated to Ciara (my loving pet dog) in the video show Good News Videos.

Based simply on some beautiful arpeggiated chords and along with a simple beautiful lead you may find tears in the eyes of those listening when using this as a closing piece for your concert. AIMON, PAMPHILE LEOPOLD FRANÇOIS, violoncellist and composer, born at L'Isle, near Avignon, 1779; conducted the orchestra of the theatre in Marseilles when only seventeen, that of the Gymnase Dramatique in Paris 1821, and of the Théâtre Français, on the retirement of Baudron, 1822. Of his seven operas only two were performed, the 'Jeux Floraux' (1818), and 'Michel et Christine' (1821), the last with great success.
