Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.809147 By Sammy Kaye. By Henry Mancini. Arranged by Tony Benade. Contemporary. Score and parts. 127 pages. Tony Benade #6565461. Published by Tony Benade (A0.809147). This is not the Charade that is normally heard as a waltz. This arrangement is a fast moving, swinging chart similar to the Buddy Rich, Woody Herman big bands of the 1960s. It may look like a long arrangement when you first look at the parts but its performance time is 4 min 40 sec. if performed at the metronome marking of 216bpm at the top of the arrangement.  It has featured solos for the 2nd trumpet, tenor sax and trombone as well as a shout section. There are various types of interludes between the choruses which create an interesting change for each section. This is an arrangement that will require above average performers of a university or professional type player to perform. It is truly a showpiece for a jazz ensemble that is at the higher level of performance. A score is also available for this piece.
